can this be activated with a push button switch for special needs?

Do you have to push a button to make anything work? Or do you turn it on and it automatically goes? If you just turn it on and it automatically goes, you can use a battery interruptor and a push button switch!

Can the flashing lights be turned off and the toy still work? My brother has seizures and is not supposed to be exposed to flashing lights.

The toy has music on/off switch. But no light on or light off switch. However if you locate the right wire and disconnect it to turn off the light, it will play just fine.

Still going after we slide to off switch. When does it stop?

The toy should stop immediately when the power switch is turned to "off." If it does not, the switch is most likely the problem. You can stop the toy manually by removing the battery if you do not want to try to repair the switch.
