Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love the Leash. Years ago I had a leather leash similar to this because the trainer I was working with at the time recommended leather over the man-made materials because it reduces the chance of burning in your hands if pulled. This particular leash is one of the best I’ve ever used. It’s small and light, seems very durable and works for good control. I paired it with one of their rounded leather collars because those are much easier on the dogs for and won’t rub them raw or rub the fur off the dog. So far great pic, great product and a well-made leash. By the way, the hardware is great on this, very well-made and strong and durable from what I can see so far

This is a nice leather leash. It is well crafted and looks like it will readily last for quite a while. As a trainer my preference is always a nice supple leather leash, and this fits the bill well.

Very high quality! I can feel the difference. I’m in love with only two walks! My boxer is very strong and this holds up.

Very comfortable. Nice soft leather not stiff like others say. Nice amount of "stretch" if you will. I can't say for how durable because ive only been for one walk she'd nothing out of the norm happened. It seems rather durable though. I was very impressed with the leather. It's not this Chinese pressed together "leather". The smell of it coming out of the box was a bit strong of chemicals. I washed it like it said to do and it's not nearly as bad. After time it will go away I'm sure. Upon first grab of the leash it didn't leave any stain residue but after missing with it/handling the leash it let off dies onto my hand so I recommend use Satle soap or satle lotion if you have some laying around to clean it. I am highly impressed I really like this leash and have already recommended it tonothers.

I have the black 6 ft leash in the 5/8 inch width. The leash arrived in a soft condition, unlike other more expensive leather leashes I have purchased before and had to soak in horse tack oil to soften. When I hand this leash over to someone else to hold my dog, they are always surprised by the softness. I use this leash on my 30 lb dog. I don't know if I would use it on my 80 lb German shepherd in this width. The clasp seems very strong and reliable, but the leather has a little give to it. However, I'm not worried about failure with the 30 lb dog.

Excellent quality training leash, I ended up buying three! Leather is so much more comfortable and forgiving for a serious training leash, it's sturdy and with normal care it should last decades.

I was ready to be disappointed, considering the surprisingly low price... but the other reviews were right- this is an EXCELLENT lead. Well made, sturdy, and already softened to make it comfortable in the hand. The hardware was heavier/larger than i anticipated, but my dog will grow into it just fine. My concern was having a 6 foot lead that could handle a long life of use and stay SECURE, and that's what i received. Very pleased, and also the unexpected little gift they included was a lovely treat. Thank you!

I’m very pleased with this leash. It’s strong and soft in my hands. The brass hook seems good quality. My last leather leash lasted 6 years through snow, water, and mud. Hoping for the same from this one.
