My Dad fell and broke his femur bone. After surgery and rehab in nursing home, he came home but needs extra help with going down a couple stairs to the garage. We mounted this bar right outside the door leading to the garage and it works great! It's been helpful for my Mother whom also need a "helping hand" with stairs. Would highly recommend this product. Built sturdy and easy to install.

I bought this to use in another capacity other than what it was designed to do. I needed a rail to assist in getting in and out of our in floor indoor jacuzzi. The rails on Amazon were all over $200, so I thought I would try this. I installed it beside our Jacuzzi by drilling into the floor and screwing the rail vertically with the supplied screws. It works well but the folding feature is a bit of an issue as I found I could not tighten it sufficiently to keep it from folding, so I have to be careful not to lean on it so it will fold. This is not a problem with the designed use and if I were using it as a toilet support I would rate it at 5. It is well built and would serve the original purpose well, I just wish it could be tightened to prevent to folding, or somehow locked in position.

Was a wonderful aid for my aging parents. We used the Grab Bar on a wall beside the shower to assist them in stepping out of the shower. The Grab Bar easily lifts up and locks into a vertical position when not needed.
