I highly recommend this hitch if you want to keep the clean look of your ride while having a strong hitch to pull your trailers. I did add an anti-rattle device to keep it quiet and more solid feeling. The hitch doesn't have the pointy edges like a standard ball so I leave it on the car and don't hit my shins when I go in the trunk. I also have the 2" ball version for more flexibility in trailers.

Well made, looks good on my Fiat 500, chrome is thick, and has not worn where trailer hitch connects.

The only reason I bought this design was because I didn't watch a hitch mount that would be unsightly on a car that's taken to car shows. This fits the bill nicely. To date, it's lasted me 11 years and still appears to be holding up nicely, albeit it could use some cleaning. There really isn't any rust that I can see coming from the mount itself. The ball does show some wear, but I'd venture to say a normal amount of wear for 11 years. The main thing I remember saying to myself 11 years ago when I bought this was it was a bit pricey compared to other hitch mounts. But, given its minimalistic design compared to others that are cheaper but HUGE, the cleaner look felt worth it to me.
