Lucky Franc's Pomade is a classic feeling, easy combing, medium hold product. It is well crafted pomade that can be used by avid pomade users or people just starting in the pomade game. I used it today and it behaved like a champ, application and styling only took about 3 minutes and I was running out the door. I'll be getting another can to keep at my office for sure. I use pomades everyday and have been for quite a while now, so let me break down how this product worked for me.1. Presentation – The can is great. Black tin with the green and white Lucky Franc’s logo on the lid. The color scheme makes me think “Luck of the Irish”. Both the directions and ingredients are listed on the back. The pomade is filled close to the brim of the can allowing great bang for the buck.2. Color - The color has a classic pomade yellow hue to it, which makes me want to scoop into it right away.3. Scent – I found the scent quite pleasing. It’s listed as having that 1920’s scent to it, and I get that. There is a nice old school aroma to it which is very clean and masculine. It is not overbearing at all so it will not clash with your cologne. The scent (for me) lasted all day.4. Breakdown – Lucky Franc’s pomade is an easy scoop, effortless actually to remove the pomade from the tin. Breaking it down in your hands is effortless as well; it behaves as a good oil based medium should. Easy and even distribution in palms and on fingers5. Application – Very easy to apply to hair, there is no tugging or pulling during initial application, during distribution with a comb, or during styling. Very minimal resistance. (I applied to slightly dryer that towel dry hair)6. Durability – I applied 3 knuckle sized licks and with that amount of pomade the product maintained its hold all day. I have been running around all day, in and out of the rain, and my hair maintained its shape perfectly.7. Stray hairs – No fly away hairs after initial application, and no flyaway’s throughout the day. This product has kept everything nice and tightWith all that said, I give this product 5 stars and a big thumbs up. If you don't grab one, well then you are missing out.

I bought this for my husband after his hair stylist used it. We love the old school smell and find the product works great. Rub promenade in between palms then apply after it softens. Goes on easily and allows him to comb his hair throughout the day when needed. Not greaser looking or high shine. Provides a good texture in the hair that I don’t even mind touching.

This product is great. First grease pomade. Only down side is the scent is heavy on the vanilla. The scent does not die off throughout the day.

Functionally good pomade. The smell? Literally petroleum. Save yourself some money and just put petroleum jelly in your hair if that’s your desired scent. I’m a wet shaving aficionado and there is literally nothing that says barbershop about this product. Cleaned it out and recycled the tin. A complete waste of money.

Bought this awhile back and it still has the scent in the package and pleasant to others who gets near me. Lasts about mostly all day.

You do have to wash your hair like three times in the morning but it is worth it for the strong hold. I have found that clarifying shampoo or anything with baking soda helps. Sticky thick hair product and works great with my thick hair. Lasts right through the gym and day. It starts out at first like it won’t work but work this stuff around in the container. It takes a few times for it to be softened and easy to blend in.

My fiancé LOVES this stuff. I threw one in his Christmas stocking and holy crap! His hair has never smelt or looked better. Great hold, not very oily... until the next day but that’s expected especially for a working man. Goshda’n does it smell fabulous though!

I was looking for.

I think this is the closest you can get to the original pomade. The scent takes time to get used to because it's a blast from the past. Old barber shops have this scent. As for styling it's perfect. Your hair will hold. And so will the pomade. Takes quite a lot of washes, so I recommend a degreaser shampoo if you don't want to do multiple washes. If you want a classic look. This one combs nicely and stays nicely.

Great pomade. It’s a good medium in that it’s both slick and has a good hold. All in all a very reliable medium. I mean it’s made by pompking and all their pomades are top notch.Yours truly,Young Gerald

Ive ordered this before and was happy but this time the caramel smell was more like used car oil ir petroleum. not a good scent at all.
