Good but not *perfect*
I'd say 3.5-4* but really depends what you want to use them for! I don't believe it's possible to get a perfect finish on the joins so not great for making figures where you'll see the arms/legs. But if you don't have time to perfect the skill of making figures from scratch then these are great. If you're dressing the figures then these are absolutely ideal. The heads are just creepy as hell though, even in their own booklet examples! I make the figures using the moulds for anything that will be covered, then using the moulds as size guides for anything exposed, then stick the heads on separately.**definitely paint vegetable shortening into moulds before you take them apart.**Also a scalpel is a necessity for cleaning them up after you've got them half out the mould.Pictured is a topper I made using these moulds - her right arm is the best finish I've managed and to be fair actually looks really good. That was a lot of blending the line with veg shortening to help. You can see the joins on the sides of his knees. The hands look really good, and the best part is really that your figures are going to be perfectly proportioned every time. (Obviously no good if your figures aren't skinny!)For the heads I use the mould but only fill up to about the chin, then I chop the chin off so you have the bust and neck. Once that has set overnight I roll a ball and shape for the head (mine are bigger in proportion to the bodies than that of the moulds because I think that looks better) then stick that onto the head - make sure there's a stick coming out the neck from through the torso to stick head onto!!!

Cheap and not cheerful
I’m a professional baker and cake decorater and experienced in making models and working with modelling paste. I bought these as I thought they would help with proportions and make modelling people quicker.I used them once to make a woman. So much time was needed to smooth the seams it was quicker to make them without the mould. The faces are also ghastly. These are cheap as chips so not an expensive mistake. I’ve invested in Domy moulds now, these are in the bin!

Whilst the moulds had obviously been used before - I just washed them - these molds have delicate fine features which more experienced sugar artists would perhaps want. However for me who wanted more comic style I found the molds great for just getting the outline and proportions of the body/arms/legs right. Then chopped the head off and just used the same amount of icing and added the features I want to the tiny markings left so I had everything in the right place! In my opinion these molds would see you through what ever you wanted to use them for with a little imagination.
