I've been looking for a decent way to watch movies and read comics/kindle in bed for many years, I tried one of the gooseneck ones a few years ago but it broke pretty soon. The ones which clip onto a shelf or headboard aren't strong enough to hold my PC tablet (Lenovo Miix 720) and shake around too much when using my kindle, other options, like a floor standing tablet holder are too bulky. I was using this one sitting on the bed, on a wooden place mat for extra stability, which was ok but not ideal, when I had the brainwave of jaming the base between matress and bed, and this works superbly, as you can see in the image. The fact that it isn't fixed or bolted means I can take it into the kitchen easily for reading recipes, or move it next to my gaming/work PC for reading tutorials etc. The build quality is solid and satisfying and the adjustable height and rotating holder means you can get the screen in exactly the right position for viewing, landscape for movies, portrait for comics or browsing web pages.

I bought this stand to use with my Aztine 15.6" portable monitor. The clasp maximum width is slightly less than stated in the specs, but I did manage to force the screen into it. It's well balanced - can even stand on my bed, the angling of screen is super handy and I like that I can easily turn the monitor vertical if I need to. It is the only stand I found that extends to this height - all the others are super low so wouldn't work as a second monitor. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, but one downfall is that the vibrations from me typing make the telescope stand go down... There is nothing to hold it in place other than friction, and I guess the weight of my monitor is greater than what this stand is designed for? (Mine is about 650g, I think the monitor was designed with only iPads in mind?) If it had a tightening screw, like all tripods or other extendable telescoping things do it would be a truly superb product. For this reason I am giving 3 stars - 4 days into using it and it doesn't stay extended. I will have to find a way to fix it, maybe with gaffa tape... So solvable, but not something I should be doing and especially not after 4 days. If you are going to use it for a VERY light screen - you'll be fine.

Stable very sturdy holds 13.1 tablet.. Great for desk and table top. So far going well in a few months after a lot if use 🤔

Excellent product

This is great for my ipad, means I can watch movies/tv etc on my ipad at eye level which is so much better Has greatly improved my enjoyment of the ipad. It has a very stable base, it will even stand happily on my bed without toppling over. You can adjust the height and tilt the ipad easily so depending on the light conditions easy to avoid glare etc, Getting the ipad in the spring loaded clamp is easy, getting it out is bit like Arkwright's till, which made me laugh. No hesitation in recommending this stand, worth the money & 5 stars.

The reviews were misleading. Yes, it was on a stand, not very high and when you extend it to full height, it wobbles when being used. I supposed thats why the person who said they propped it under their bed matress did so to stop it wobbling.
