WWII US M1911 / 1911 .45 Wooden Grips - Reproduction

I have a m1911 rock island arms fs these are great grips but they need a little knife work to fit properly no problem for me but need a bit of work to fit right but all in all after a little work they look great and work great

Exactly as advertised and a very nice color and design.

DO NOT BUY THESE GRIPS!! I purchased these grips for my 1943 dated 1911A1 to replace the originals that I want to keep in good shape. Upon inspection of the left grip panel I knew something was going to be off right from the go. The cut out for the slide stop/saftey plunger was not big enough and hte slide stop rubbed against the grip. That would be an easy fix with a little sandpaper and a dremel. However once I tried to fit the right panel i noticed that the holes do not line up with the grip posts. They are off just slightly on length and angle. Essentially I would have to bore out the holes which would make the grips sloppy. Then on the bottom of the grip it hangs below the magazine well. Again this would have to be taken care of with sand paper and a dremel. All of that being said these will be returned. The description stated "These are based on originals so we cannot confirm that they will fit all replica models or require minor changes." Then below that it states: "GRIPS MAY NOT FIT: 5 model 1911s, colt service model/full size All Standard Colt M1911 and M1911A1 etc... Wont fit standard M1911A1 models???? If its based off the original then it absolutely should fit the Colt 1911 and A1. The amount of grinding and fitting needed to make these work will make these grips absolutely trash.

I got a pair of the veritas equitas ones. 4.5 / 5 stars. Cool idea and wood seems decent quality. Do not expect perfection, these are not showroom grips. Mine was missing a few pieces of material removal around the words. Came with a few dings and the finish was extremely uneven. Honestly looks like a middle school shop kid finished it. Just sloppy blotchy finish. I put them on my Italian made Chiappa 1911 and the fit is PERFECT. I used both thumbs to carefully but firmly push them into the screw studs. No wiggle. Better to be tight than too loose…. The biggest issue I have with these are the type of finish. It STINKS like a new cheap leather belt. It feels wet still, kind of tacky. And it makes your hands stink after handling it. I washed them with soap and water and then cleaned them off with 91% alcohol which helped some but not a lot. I will likely use a very fine grit sandpaper and just sand them down a tiny bit to remove some of the finish. I’d rather get them raw and do a BLO or other oil finish myself than whatever cheap junk they splashed over them. I do not regret buying them. They are cheap, fit great and look cool. Could easily be 5/5 with a few changes.

This was just the touch my 1911 needed. Good fit, great appearance, perfect adds a very personal touch to my firearm. I have received many compliments, l am very satisfied with my purchase.

Didn't fit without filing the top.

I got these for a friend's Turkey 1911 and they really do look amazing on there.

Look good feel good but do not fit the left side will need some work to fit. Wouldn't recommend unless you are a wood worker or know someone who is.

Toll verarbeitet - Löcher stimmten überein, musste am Griff nur paar kleine Schleifarbeiten zur Passgenauigkeit beim Schlitten durchführen. Denke, dass das damit zu tun hat, dass ich kein Original Colt habe, sondern eine Nachahmung. Bei Bedarf sehr gerne wieder

Super teile, toll verarbeitet, haben aber fast 2 monate gebraucht bis sie bei mir waren. Dafür einen stern abzug....

Unica cosa da far notare è che essendo prodotte per un arma vera e non a gas, l'articolo , per un corretto montaggio, necessita di una modifica nella parte interna per poter ricavare l'ingombro della bomboletta di gas che viene alloggiata nel calcio dell'arma. 5 minuti di dremell e tutto si risolve.

Die Griffe sind von guter Qualität. Mit handwerklichem Geschick auch gut auf Ambicut, diverser 1911 Varianen anpassbar. Aktuell meine Lieblingsgriffe einer S&M 1911 Pro Series.
