High quality Hojicha tea
This is a great quality Hojicha tea and I keep ordering it. It smells declining and tastes authentic.

Since we tried it at Japan House in London, we always have it for our breakfast
Amazing product my son love it! The taste is unbelievable! The first time we tried it at Japan House in London ( a famous Japanese Restaurant) and since then we have it every morning with our breakfast its a very light tea not heavy to drink in the morning We usually matching with our salted breakfast. Amazing product! I wish they'll sell a big packet options.

Great Value Tea
This tea is subtle tasting and caffeine free, ideal after meals or closer to bed time. The amount contained in the pack is excellent value for the price.

Tastes like spring!
After living in Japan for a few years it’s great to know I can still get seasonal teas like this in the UK! The sakura flavour not only comes from cherry blossom but also the leaves, so it might not be as floral as you expect if it’s your first time trying it. If you like traditional Japanese sweets though, you’ll definitely like this! Takes me back to spring in Japan 🌸

Great quality tea but subtle sakura flavour
I believe this is a very good quality green tea - it has the sediment at the bottom. I feel better from drinking it already. It looks very very green when brewed, and it brews faster than my other green teas I noticed. However - it loses a star for not many Sakura petals and the taste does not come through much. The expiry date has 11 months to spare - I better get drinking! I feel this date could be longer really as it’s very expensive at £12.99 for 100g, however I believe this is due to the green tea leaves being a superior quality compared to most.

undrinkable
I have had some lovely cherry blossom green tea; this, however, was not one of them. It is undrinkable with a horrible muddy taste and no fragrance that you would expect from cherry blossom. Unfortunately, my usual supply from The Exotic Teapot is unavailable, so I thought I would try this. Really not for me

Not a fan
Didn’t really know what to expect but I wasn’t a fan of the flavour.

I am a fan of Japanese teas of the less stratospheric variety. I enjoy drinking genmaicha (green tea with roasted brown rice mixed in it) hojicha (roasted green tea) and kukicha (kind of sticks and stems from the tea plant.) These are flavourful, not as caffeinated as regular black tea, and some such as genmaicha are anti-oxident and anti-inflammatory. I purchased this brand of hojicha after not having any of that kind of tea in the pantry for a couple of years. I was attracted by its being organic, and of a trustworthy brand. I like it, and have at least one cup a day every day in the afternoon, and maybe an additional cup with dinner. It needs to be made properly, so follow the instructions on the bag to the letter. I use a "tea egg" or "tea ball" in my cup to make the tea. My wife uses a tea strainer. Good luck.

Japanese visitors approved. The roasted scent and taste was a wonderful reminder of roasted tea back in Japan. Would buy again.

This tea is the nicest Hojicha I have had. Many are too roasted but this one is toasty and mellow with a wonderfully relaxing quality. Also, I had purchased a tea sold as Organic Hojicha, from a large tea broker, in the past which made me quite ill, when tested proved to be full of pesticides. This tea is pure and good. I appreciate these growers.
