Solid, stable, slippery surface. Measure X-stand width before ordering
Using it for my Nektar GX49 MIDI controller and ammoon MIDIPLUS mini Engine Pro External USB Sound Module. Be sure to measure the width (left to right) and depth (front to back) of your X-stand at your desired height. These dimensions must be less than those of of this tray. The painted metal surface is slippery. As a result, I'll likely use Velcro to keep my devices from sliding around.

It is not attached to stand, just sits on top. Very sturdy and roadie-proof.
I'm adding this as part of my stage rig to hold a laptop and Maschine controller. It is very heavy duty, do not drop this on your foot. It only sits on the stand so don't try to move the stand by grabbing the tray. But since it is so heavy it stays in place very well. I have one item of note, the top is just metal, a handful of pads came with it, but it really needs full padded coverage. I use rubber "shelf liner" (like products made by Gorilla Grip and Smart Design, available on Amazon).

Very useful product if you have a lot of stuffs connected ...
Very useful product if you have a lot of stuffs connected on stage. It is well constructed and very easy to use. I used on stage with a mac mini and a 24" monitor with MainStage.

Way better than rigging something up
I used to take the top of a flite case and hang it over my stand for my synths but this is much more pro and much safer.

Measure before you order
The product is well made; However make sure it the proper size requirement; because it's 15in×28in.

False Advertising
The product says it fits any x keyboard stand when in reality it does not. In fact, the packaging lists which ones it fits with (KS7291, KS8291, KS8391). It doesn't fit my keyboard stand, and is not usable at all.
