Changed carpet, so bought a better matching color. Easy to thread on. Looks good, and is heavy construction.

It’s not that easy to just buy the flange without other parts or a key that I didn’t need. You can see in the second picture that I ordered similar color in a 24 inch fireplace key. It almost looks like a fireplace poker lol Being that the key is on the floor and with a bad knee now I didn’t want to have to bend down as far. It will make lighting much easier, but the old flange was silver and didn’t match anything. This was the only one that I could find in this color. It was longer than the one that I had so I had to cut about 3/4 of an inch off and I was able to find my neighbor had a hacksaw that would work. Very sturdy as I could not get through it with my hacksaw. What can I say? It’s the color I needed. I didn’t like having to cut it down but I wasn’t going to spend forever trying to find something that was the same length. It’s doing exactly what it is supposed to do, and that’s all I can ask.

I work with in a field where I use these in standard colors every day. I really do have to say that the quality of Dante and the finishes are flawless. Thank you for a great product! Be smart and have a pro replace this though. It involves playing with your gas line and that isn't work the risk for the small fee a pro will charge to install and leakcheck the line afterwards.

My contractor tried to tell us these things only come in brass and chrome. I said that can’t be true, so off to amazon I went. I was excited to find one in the exact finish we wanted, and even more thrilled when it arrived and fit perfectly. It was so easy to unscrew the unsightly brass piece and replace it with this one.

This is a very nicely made and finished product, so for that there can and should be no complaints. It should be noted that there are 1/2 pipe threads internal on this unit, nothing external. External threads would be nice to hold it to the floor from the underside; as it is, your piping arrangement will have to do that. What I plan on doing upon installation is taking a hose clamp (mine is going through the floor) to the underside and this will hold it in place. Like a previous reviewer, my gas valve will be remote, about 9" below this floor plate. I plan in connecting the valve and floor plate together with a piece of pipe, and the 12" universal gas key will work just fine here.

I got new flooring. In order for the flooring to match the kitchen tile height subfloor had to be installed which made my previous floor plate not work well. This floor plate is smaller and does not have a sticker top to it.My original had the sticker top, which over the years got partially removed.
