Review: A good read but very small print even with reading glasses Review: Different cover to the book I had, but same title! Another beautifully written book by. Lynne Reid Banks. She writes which such feeling, and again draws the reader to the very centre of life within the bronte family, quite extraordinary. A truly gifted writer. Thank you once again for the really wonderful and exceptional experience of following the life of Charlotte bronte.

Having visited Haworth Parsonage/Museum and read Dark Quartet, , this sequel is a MUST and covers in detail Charlotte Bronte's life, after the death of her mother, brother and five sisters The book is a historical novel but is well researched and a really emotional read. I loved it!

This book enthralled me! I really felt as if I had been swept back in time. I highly recommend following up with the video: To Walk Invisible.

If you enjoy reading the novels of the Bronte sisters, you will enjoy reading about Charlotte's later life. To read about the Brontes in their earlier years, then read "The Dark Quartet" first - also by Lynne Reid Banks
