Omg for 80 bucks yes that was a great buy wish I could go back in time and buy this one set not for investment purposes but plainly as a Star Wars fan.

Q: Can the death trooper fit in the closed cockpit?

Yes! Any standard helmeted Minifig can fit inside the cockpit, provided they are not wearing a backpack. (A minifig with a cloth cape, like Director Krennic, will fit was well.) However, unusual/non-human minifigs (like K2-SO, Clone Wars-related Battle Droids, etc) will not fit.

Q: Is this really made by lego

Yea, this is a Lego product as indicated by the seller. If it comes from a warehouse just check their rating. I bought from a warehouse and it was sealed with the LEGO tape they use
