Q: Does this sheet fit when it is set up as a bassinet?

I don't think so. There is a separate sheet made specifically for the bassinet set up, which is what I purchased and am using right now. I haven't tried the crib sheet in the bassinet, but would imagine it is too large.

Q: Why does my sheet look cream colored instead of white?

It sounds like you may have received our organic cotton sheet which has an off white color
