The clip is not high enough
These are good holsters...... however: I'm 4'11" about 200 lbs and when I tried it on, it looked like I had a box popping out of my belly, I rested my arms on the gun it just looked like I was pregnant with a box. It was funny as heck!! I should have taken a picture I laughed so hard. Fun aside, I think the clip sits too low in the holster so the grip sticks out too much. But it is a good holster, I can take the gun in and out from the holster without any problems, but the magazine holder is meant to hold the magazine until is needed. I will use these holsters just to carry guns in my gun range bag.and that is about it.

Two Excellent IWB Holsters with Mag Pouches for Concealed Carry
This review should be taken in context (that is to say value for price). I got both holsters for less than $15.Let's talk positives:The material is typic of non-fitted holsters of this type: a sturdy canvas-like material hardened into semi-rigidity to fit (generally speaking) a gun-shaped object. It comes with two sizes of retention strap, one snapped to each side of the holster. These straps are sretchy elastic with a reinforced snap at each end. They could become dislodged under heavy activity, but used as intended, they should do the job well enough.Once I cut the line of stitches (more on that later) the holster fit everything from a mid-sized pistol (about the size of a Sig P365) to a full-sized 1911 to an oversized Umarex HDP. The HDP was snug, but it works well enough.Carrying the holster inside the waistband of several kinds of pants (with and without belt) was workable and reasonably comfortable. Also, and this can't be stressed enough, the holsters are a good value for the money, as long as you take into account their limitations. So let's talk about those limitations.First, most important, the clip that comes with each holster, the item that fits into a loop on either side of the product, is not good for attaching the holster to a belt, particularly for open carry. The clip attaches fine to the belt, but because it is not secured to the holster by more than spring tention through a loop, the loop often falls downward off the clip. The weight of even a light bb pistol is enough to pull the holster down off the clip. This is a serious complaint and the only one that makes me feel somewhat underconfident in this holster.I have seen other holsters of this design use tough velcro-style fasciners to keep their attachment clips in place. I will be experimenting with that but have no plans to update my review with results. One other negative, although this is somewhat situational, is the width of the strap used to close/cover the magazine pouch. It is narrow, relative to the pouch and to pretty much anything you'd put in it. I believe it will hold a spare mag or maybe a small flashlight or multitool or something of the size, if you don't want to use it for its seeming purpose. However, with anything other than walking, the strap could slip off the magazine and you could drop it on the ground. I'd carry a spare, particularly a double-stack with a flat baseplate, but it's something to be aware of.Finally, I don't know what kind of pen guns this holster is meant to fit in its factory fresh condition, but even the smallest of my pistols wouldn't fit its trigger guard past the narrow opening of either holster. I cut the stitches on both. True, my smallest pistol did fit then, but it almost disappeared into the interior of the holster. However, I don't believe it will fall out of the bottom, so I guess that's a half-win.Finally, though this sn't a dealbreaker for me, I don't see this fitting anything with even a small optic. Be aware of that if you like lasers and red dots and flashlights and such. Unless you carry it in the mag pouch, it's staying home.In conclusion, you get what you pay for. It's not a custom fit military grade item that will survive stunts in an action movie. It's not particularly attractive. It's not even particularly good for open carry, in my opinion. But it's also not a bad set of two holsters for IWB carry.i

Nice Small Holster for Sub Compact
I used this for a Sign 938 9mm works well, used another brand prior that was too snug for smooth draw a bit smaller than this one. The strap secures it in the holster from movement, even without it stays put, but draws smooth, other brand caught my front sight, but this one is slightly deeper so nothing to grab onto. Plus the magazine straps goes back under so there is a rolled edge not a sharp one to grab front sights.I suspect other smaller compacts will fit just as well, my larger 45 double stack seems too snug for functional use. But it's good for a wide variety of others that work well.Universal holsters either work or they fall short, this one seems a good choice for when you don't want to buy another fitted Kidex holster for ever single one. And I have cracked more than a couple belt/wasteband clips on those where as these are metal.Someone said cheap construction, but I find for a cordura soft holster it's mid grade, stitching seems solid, no plastic guides to wear, tear or chip, extra magazine holder on top, good value for a pair at this price. Like a lot better than Uncle Mike's or Houston brands soft types.

Ya get what ya pay for!
They work great for smaller pistols or pistols with no attachments definitely shop around because I'm only able to fit a backup pistol in this one my main weapon won't fit!

I have ordered 2 sets of these
These are very nice holsters for the money. I must admit that the upgraded clips are way better than the old ones. My S&W shield plus fits in it very well including the extra magazine.

No difference from universal except price
I ordered thevtwo "universal" and these two "upgrade" holsters as they are supposed to fit different size guns.THEY ARE INDENTICAL, except for the "upgrade" being $4.00 more. Both sizes literally have the same tag(pictured) that says "Cut the Stitches to fit in Guns of Various Sizes"Just order the universal and save $4.00.Amazon says my negative reviews violate community standards,(honesty violates community standards?) so, we will see if this stays up or gets deleted like others have.
