Earth's Care Acne Treatment Mask - 5% Sulfur Cystic Acne Treatment - Acne Medicine for Face Pimples and Blackheads (Tube 2.5 OZ)

This stuff is great but not good for using as an overnight mask just because of its consistency and the way it dries is weird compared to other sulfur masks I’ve used. I’ve used Acne Free, DDF, Peter Roth and this one. I got the 5% because when I was using Acne Free’s sulfur mask before it was discontinued, I had only used that one which was 2% so didn’t know how well my skin would tolerate 10%. So i decided to get 5% and spot tested first before using all over my face. Follow the directions when using this. I wouldn’t leave it on too long. When i use this on my forehead as directed and rinse it off, my forehead is red but the redness fades away after 30 or so minutes. It doesn’t burn or irritate me or anything but if you experience that, you may wanna use this before you go to sleep or when you’re not rushing out the door. You can tell this isn’t diluted with filler ingredients because it’s effective for eliminating acne quickly and preventing it at 5%. I use this almost everyday and especially when I feel or see a breakout coming and it diminishes it fast. If you’re looking for a mask you can leave on overnight, try DDF or Peter Roth’s sulfur mask. Even though they’re 10% sulfur, they don’t irritate or dry you out when leaving it on longer than directed. At least for me they don’t. Probably because the other ingredients in them lessen the effect of the sulfur.

Let me start by saying this product works GREAT for me! Everyone’s skin is different but I personally find this very effective. Many others have mentioned the consistency. The other sulphur mask I have used was a dry, almost chalky consistency that had to be applied to wet skin. It dried rather firm on the skin. This mask is a whipped consistency that goes on very smooth. You have much more control over how thick the layer you apply is. I find it absorbs much more into my skin and feels comparatively more elastic. I believe if you rubbed a small amount into your skin like a lotion and allowed it to try, you would certainly be able to maintain this mask over night for a deep treatment. NOW, the SMELL. Nobody warned me. Perhaps I am simply more sensitive to strong smells than others but I think this mask smells horrendous. Much worse than the previous sulphur mask I’d used. HOWEVER this product is effective enough to keep me coming back.

I had the 10% formula already, which works great on problem breakouts. I got this for more gentle all-over help. It works as desired. I had a small breakout starting, it knocked it out overnight. The directions say to rinse off after 10 minutes and to use 1-3x/day. I use it once at night, maybe 3x/week, thin layer, and I leave it on overnight. I've never had an issue with overdrying, but adjust according to your skin (mine is oily and acne-prone but does not necessarily irritate easily). Sulfur works better for me than any other medication, and this is the most effective product line while also being gentle on my older skin. Side note: I recently added a niacinamide toner to my regimen, and that combined with this has been a one-two punch to my acne. Soooo much improvement.

Had a reaction to it, when I put it on my face was burning I couldn’t leave it on the whole 10 mins had to wash it off within 5 mins, my face down my neck where the mask was applied looked like a chemical burn. I’ve used many acne products and have never had reaction so bad
