I am delighted with these heat-resistant gloves. I bought them because I have burned myself several times when using the iron and the curling iron, especially when combing the back of the head. Since I use them, that doesn't happen anymore. Of course, you should not touch the iron directly for a long time. They are light, comfortable and flexible, they do not get in the way of combing. They fit well in the hand, do not slip and are easy to put on and take off. Good quality, you can tell they are made to last. Regarding the support to place the iron, it is also very useful, I no longer have to be putting the iron on the floor so as not to burn my dresser. Hair braces and combs are of good quality and very useful. This kit became an essential part of my routine when I use the iron or curling iron. An excellent purchase!

I got these for my 13 yr old granddaughter as she has burnt herself curling her hair on occasion. They work great, and I've saved her from many scars on her arms and hands. Great products!!

Purchased mainly for the gloves. I did read how some reviewers did not like how the gloves "stuck" to their hair and tho this is true, for me it is not a problem. Maybe it's because my hair is shorter. There is still a feeling of heat but they work ok for me. The combs and clips are a bonus as is the silicon pouch.

I have problems with my nervous system (previous SCI) so when I am trying to straighten my hair, I burn my hands a lot simply because I cannot feel that it is too close when I'm getting the back of my head - The gloves have been a life saver! Great quality on every piece that comes in this package! The silicone mat is awesome, too! Super easy to use all of it. The only complaint, and I wouldn't even really call it that, it that the gloves are just a little big but I have small hands so that may just be a "me problem". The grip on these are great as well!

Everything was well packaged and arrived on time. The gloves are short in the palm area but wide and bulky on my hands. I have used all the items the comb, clips are fine, the heat mat is good, but the gloves although they are heat resistant, are not exactly useful for what my intent was and that was blow dry hair, then use Velcro rollers to hold the hair until it cools to gain volume. Unfortunately the gloves and I am fairly sure most other gloves would do the same thing, when working with the heated hair get stuck to the Velcro rollers. So there goes that idea. But they will come in handy as I do have plans on eventually getting a curling wand. and just because of a slight dexterity problem and the essence on how wrapping the hair on a wand is these hopefully will work but only time will tell. Now as to the glove sizing. I am really stressing this because I have large female hands they are not petite or delicate like I know some of my friends hands are like and I doubt these gloves would work with them as they feel bulky as far as width goes. They definitely are short on my hands I have really long fingers again in comparison to my friends or sister even, and on my hand the wrist part is up at the bottom area of my palm/hand and yet not snug around the width of my hand. . Just pointing out that they are made for someone with smaller length hands that are maybe chubby in appearance? So jsut a heads up for any who may think of purchasing about the gloves. The two combs and the hair clips are nice to have on hand although I do not need 2 combs (I already had one as it is). The mat works well to just lay the hot implement on, I have a blow-dryer styling brush by Revlon that really gets my hair hot, (thus why i wanted gloves) and while working with the dryer and trying to use the gloves with the rollers, I had set the hairdryer down on the mat without turning it off and it held up to the heat (please know this is not what I would normally do but I felt it was a good test as I struggled with the gloves on and rollers.) So I do know the matt has a good heat resistance. My only complaint and that is just because I did get this for mostly the heat resistant gloves and the mat, the gloves are a bit disappointing but they do offer that heat resistance. Again the gloves are just awkward to work with UPDATE: DEC 26th. The gloves are pretty useless, you have styling product in your hair and it sticks to the gloves, the gloves really make it hard to do much so they have become useless. But the combs and you do not need 2 if you are single are good and the clips work great, those are the items I find useful in this kit the gloves no useful at all
