Small fan, LOTS of power
Bought this as a 2nd fan on an itty-bitty two-tower CPU fan. For being so small, the cooling power is really strong, and the noise is almost inaudible in the case where the cooler was in. Nice build quality, and the fan slotted perfectly into the cooling tower.

Good fan, get the PWM version though.
I wouldn't recommend the non-pwm version unless you can control the voltage with your mobo. Running at default, they're very loud. But you can reduce the speed to a sweet spot of 50% or so for inaudible operation while keeping good airflow. They have very clever zip-tie pass-throughs for a neat and tidy installation.I also appreciated that the stickers on the impeller are good enough quality you can peel them off without leaving paper residue.

High quality plastics, low noise levels!
The plastics are really good, almost like carbon reinforced, tough, good quality, durable plastics!I tested the 80 and 91mm fans, at the extremes of my DC lab bench PSU.Here are the manufacturer's specs:Operating Voltages: 5-12VNoise levels: 18.6dBairflow: 33.15 CFMInput power: 3.84WInput current: 0.32ALifespan: 80.000 hoursHere are my personal power consumption measurments, and notices for the 80mm fan:2,80V 0.01A (~0.03W), kickstarting the fan is necessary; they don't provide much airflow until 3V.4,00V 0.05A (~0.20W), 4V is needed to self-start the fan.5.00V 0.06A (~0.30W), airflow ~= 3-4in.6.00V 0.08A (~0.50W)9.00V 0.10A (~0.90W), fan is barely audible in a silent room12.0V 0.13A (~1.60W), airflow =~ 1ft16.0V 0.165A(~2.65W)20.0V 0.22A (~4.40W), faint hum heard, ~1,5ft airflow24.0V 0.255A(~6.15W), not recommended for long exposure!30.0V 0.31A (~9.3W), audible, good airflow, 20 seconds in, the fan was fried, still works, but permanently suffered a 20-25% reduced performance. The 91mm fan's numbers:2,75V 0.04A (~0.10W), kickstarting the fan is necessary; they don't provide much airflow until 3V.4,00V 0.075A(~0.30W), 4V is needed to self-start the fan.5.00V 0.085A(~0.425W), airflow ~= 4-5in.6.00V 0.095A(~0.57W), airflow ~1/2ft.9.00V 0.135A (~1.20W), fan is barely audible in a silent room, airflow =~ 1ft12.0V 0.17A (~2.00W),16.0V 0.225A(~3.60W) ~1,5ft airflow20.0V 0.28A (~5.6W)24.0V 0.34A(~8.15W), Voltage not recommended, faint hum heard, ~2ft airflow.30.0V not tested. The manufacturer specs seem to be tested around 14-16V, but the real life numbers are better than specs! That's a good indicator it may be a good quality product!Personal fan rating:4.8 out of 5 stars, for airflow,4.9 out of 5 stars, for quietness (it's basically inaudible at operating voltages)4.8 out of 5 stars, for quality and durable plastics4.5 out of 5 stars, for under and over voltage capabilitiesLet's hope the brushes and bearings will live up to their 80.000 hours ratings.Overall, I would recommend these fans, if you're not into LED stuff!Definitely recommended!

quiet and effective
I have an 92mm arctic quiet fan that I had for a while, but it is rather noisy when it is at the high level of speed (around 1800-1900RPM). Maybe it is less noisy than a conventional fan, but it was noisy enough for me to look for another solution. And I think it was noisy because of the distance it was to the external grill plate on the back of the PC. If slackened the screws so it was a few millimeters from the screen, the noise dropped in half. This fan is much quieter at maximum speed (around 1900-2000 RPM). I have the speedfan program measure the RPM's. The performance in my particular PC is similar even though officially the 'be quiet!' fan moves less cubic feet of air at maximum speed according to the official specifications. But it feels like only a 5 to 10% difference in airflow when I put my hands to both. I have the 3 pin version.Update: The fan has started to make a little rattling noise occasionally. I examined the fan and I think the fan now goes up and down a tiny bit at certain speeds. Not bad for being quiet for 2 years.. and now only occasionally making a noise.

Excellent Quality For The Value!!
Great fan as all are from Be Quiet! , replaced a factory cooling fan on a small "refrigerator" work tons better and is alot quieter than the generic no name fan that came installed in it. Always great quality and noise levels with all Be Quiet! fans i have used.

Good fan
I ordered a Pure Wings 2 non-PWM 92mm fan (BL045). I received the PWM version (BL038) which has BQ PUW2-9225-MR-PWM on the back and a 4-pin connector. This doesn't really matter since I received essentially the same fan. There is no difference using this fan in a non-PWM circuit other than it uses a 4-pin vice 3-pin connector, and of course there will be a small portion of the connector extending past a 3-pin header. These connectors were designed to be compatible with each other. Pin 1 is ground, 2 is +12, 3 is RPM sense and 4 is the PWM signal. Using a PWM fan (4-pin) on a non-PWM header (3-pin) just means that fan will always run at 100% just like a non-PWM fan (unless fan speed is controlled by varying input voltage on pins 1-2).I mention this only because the description of the fan (it is listed as BL045 which is a non-PWM fan) does not correctly match the item that was sent (BL038 is their PWM version) and buyers should be aware of the discrepancy. There are several comments here about receiving a PWM fan instead of the non-PWM fan in the description so it looks like PWM fans are being sent for both.Decided to use it in a PWM circuit. Works great (and silent).
