What voltage is it?
I assume that this unit is a 110 volt unit which is ok, except for when you are in Australia and we have 240 volts. Luckily I have a down step transformer to 110v and yes it works ok, but a bit more detail into what voltage the actual unit is would have been appreciated.

Good for my turtles
Good heater. Has been working great. Keeps the tank at the right temperature and comes with a temperature strip to check.

Great Heater for price and no chance of Glass exploding
when I bought this heater, it was to replace one I had JUST bought on Amazon that was a more traditional glass tube style, It had great reviews, but a few said they exploded, well I know Glass ones can explode if you say plug in and putt in water when hot , or vise versa, so I decided to buy that one first, bad mistake, heater DID explode and almost killed my fish, so seeing this one I decided to try this new style (at least new to me) .. Now I did see reviews how some fish got stuck within the enclosure and died, which I agree is possible with smaller fish , I have a breeding guppy tank so I was somewhat concerned about this, my solution to this though was simple, first I tend to bury my heaters under gravel, well top level with gravel (not sure if its recommended so maybe don't do this) but also I simply used some PC air filters I have (which are plastic) and I cut them to fit the top, sides and back or the protective guard and with aquarium silicone simply tacked them in place, this way it prevents food as well as fish from being able to get threw the openings, without hindering waterflow too much, or at least doesn't seem to.. as well it prevents food from landing on the heating unit itself, which I found seems to cook to the surface of the heater, the heater itself has a gritty feel to it, the paint is textured so perhaps it is why food seems to bake on to the heater, but again mine does sit on the bottom of the tank. so clearly food will fall onto the heater. The temperature gauge seems pretty accurate, but I would say maybe off a degree or two, but nothing huge, like all heaters though your wise to monitor it for the first little while to see at least the unit come to a set temperature, then shut off, and turn back on.. I never trust ANY heater preset temperatures so use a separate IN water thermometer, not the sticky glass kind, they are ok but not so accurate the only bad thing I can see about this heater , is like mentioned before, the openings for the guard are quite large or small fish, and they could easily get trapped, however if you have bigger fish that would be no issue, and honestly so far none of my fish have got stuck , nor have any of the 6 apple snails which I was worried would stick there body's threw and get burnt, but they haven't either, now of course I did end up "modifying" mine with a 20cent PC fan filter , all and all I love this heater and would easily recommend for anyone with fish, and if you have small ones, simply buy some window screen or a PC fan filter and make a few minor tweaks and then its completely safe for all sized fish

Great features.
This is a very good aquarium heater that seems to be indestructible. I am using it in a turtle tank right now and have had absolutely no issues with it so far, and turtles tend to be rough on anything in their environment. Easy to see temperature readout and easy to set. Also has the auto shut off feature if it is not in the water. Also a good size for the wattage rating.
