Really enjoying the gum!
Never been much into gum, but having read about the correlation between chewing/mouth size and airway size in Breath by James Nestor. I knew I wanted to start chewing more! Gum is usally viewed as a baddie, and I found out it's usually got plastic in it 🤦🏻♂️(chances are you're here cuz you already knew that). So I tried to quickly look for a biodegradable alterrnative, took me a few days and many many tabs in chrome.Lots of options for goodie gum which is great, but not so good for decision paralysis 🥴 I went for it and bought this on zero-reviews, hey-ho! (after having checked they had social media presence lol, seemed legit enuf, but they need some tlc 🙌) cuz it's quite nice :) Whoop! Flavor stays for ages, I went on a 3hr 'exercise' quarantine walk and the flavor stayed throughout and kidna didn't want to get rrid of it after 😅 (shoulda stuck it behind my ear, damnit!) I went for the mix and have been alternating flavor. I didn't and still don't know the difference between peppermint and spearmint, though I think I have a preference between the two... Hadn't tried the eucalyptus before but was pleasantly surprised and it might be my favorite! As it can be more subtle, when you just want to chew!

Made in China!!!
Really disappointed that they are made in a country with questionable ethics and human rights. It doesn't state on the Amazon description where they are made. The country of manufacture can only be found in small writing on the individual boxes so you have to open the main box to get that information. I won't buy them again.

Really great tasting gum!
Really great tasting gum! I was a little bit addicted to the old plastic gum so didn’t want a poor substitute, but the flavour across all three types is amazing and the texture is good too - possibly even better than what I was used to. Only minor downside is a couple of the individual boxes weren’t completely sealed, but they don’t stick around long enough for that to be a problem!

Not for me
The good:No aspartameNo plasticGood flavourCardboard packagingThe bad:Flavour didn't last that longVery expensiveAnd finally, the deal breaker for me... a bit weird, but... if I drink chilled water within 20 minutes of chewing this I get a horrible pain at the back of my tongue, really hard to explain, but a lot worse than the brain freeze.

Finally a excellent plastic free gum
I have tried 3 other types of plastic (or so I thought) gums and this one is by far the best. I've tried True Gum from Denmark but now no longer ship to UK and all their stockists had sold out at the time. Chewsy which is a UK one but found the gum stuck to my teeth and flavour was good but didn't last. Peppersmith that it turns out uses recycled rubber and not plastic free (their marketing is a bit miss-leading as it mentions being plant based but that's just the sugar) still a better alternative to plastic. Nopla is by far the best, excellent flavour that lasts ages is bigger gum then the other non-plastic versions i've tried and slightly cheaper per packet. Packaging was lose in a couple of packets but i can look over that at its such a good product overall. This needs to go mainstream and stop plastic gum!

No sugar chewing gum
Those chewing gum has a good taste overall but not a quality texture, so they will dissolve quite easily and fast while you chew on them, making them last less than a few hours.

Avoid
Great concept but poor execution. Poor packaging as my chewing gums had all fallen out. I transferred them do a container. The flavour lasts about 10 seconds longer than other natural gums. Also the eucalyptus flavour gets stuck to your teeth. Not sure why. They will go places if they change the recipe and improve the packaging.

Decent chewing gum with greener credentials, shame about the packaging
As with many similar chewing gums on the market attempting to be healthier and greener, Nopla uses entirely card boxes for its chewing gum which is fine when the packs of gum are closed but I do find that, once you have opened a pack, it has a tendency to stay open and the contents end up rolling around in a pocket or a bag, so the packaging needs to be rethought a little. The gums also, as with other similar plastic-free options, have a flavour which is strong at first but quickly fades. I personally don't mind this, as the initial flavour does freshen the breath. I also like the variety: you get four each of the spearmint, peppermint and eucalyptus flavours, the latter being my absolute favourite of the bunch. perhaps because it is the most unusual. The gum has a slightly odd texture, again familiar to anyone who has tried this kind of gum before, it's more like rubber than non-plastic chewing gums. It's easy to get used to it, though, and certainly these gums are better for you and the environment than our plasticy variants, especially as it will biodegrade!
