Pro's & Con's
Since almost everyone who reads this may be considering this over the Charge 2, I'll give you a good summary.Pro's:1. Waterproof up to 50 meters so you an wear in the shower, pool and beach. Charge 2 cannot, so yes if you are comfortable taking it off every day or multiple times, as well as, unconcerned about a spill ruining your watch, the charge 2 is still okay.2. The software is literally just as good as fit bits, my dad has one. Most critics say fit bit software has a slight edge, I don't see where that is exactly.3. Features charge 2 doesn't have: music control, weather, notifications (custom), which I thought could be a con, but you can actually customize what you see on the UI in the app. This way you can pick and choose which features are right for you. I was concerned about notifications, but you can actually edit what those are as well.4. Find your phone is actually very useful and has come in handy, You have to be in bluetooth range for it to work. If you try it out of range and are looking, it will connect when you do come in range, and notify you. So, just find it again and it will work. I was 20-30 feet without a wall and it worked, which is best bt range I have ever seen.Cons:1. The screen, I hear, is fragile and scratches. I didn't bother taking the risk and get a screen protector. I got a screen protector with the device, IQ shield, and it works great.2. The brightness and contrast is nowhere near that of the Charge 2 quality. So if you have significant trouble reading without classes, this may not be for you.3. Bands are not changeable, unlike the charge 2.

6 months later and still love it. But be aware of its limitations.
I bought this in June 2016 and I still love it. Yes, there are some flaws but looking at the other GPS fitness watches that my friends have this one is definitely one of the smallest and most functional for me. I wanted a fitness watch that was 50/50 fitness tracker and smart watch that was also affordable. I wear gloves at work all day and being able to glance at my watch to see who's calling/texting/emailing me instead of having to take my gloves off every time my phone buzzes in my pocket is the number one reason I bought this fitness smartwatch. If you're a hardcore fitness junkie you'll want to look elsewhere for something with a more detailed breakdown of your workouts, and if you're only looking for a smartwatch with some minimal fitness tracking abilities you'll also want to look elsewhere. The screen is pretty small so reading long emails or texts is sometimes frustrating. You can't interact with your messages or emails other than reading or clearing them from the screen. The great thing about the Vivosmart is you can get notifications for anything you get notifications for on your iPhone (calendar, reminders, alarms, LINE, Whatsapp, Google map directions, etc) while some smartwatches only allow email, texts and calls. Note that if you buy the Vivosmart in the US it will only display Latin characters. When I get Japanese or Chinese notifications it displays triangles or blanks (Garmin customer service said if I buy the vivosmart in an Asian country it will display Asian characters and Latin characters, but software updates may get screwed up if you bring it back to the US).I've been using the GPS function daily for at least 30 minutes (~4 hours a week, walks, runs, bike rides) and the battery lasts about 4 days before I get the low battery symbol. GPS can take a while for it to connect (a few seconds to 10 minutes) and I've noticed lately that it's taking longer to connect and I don't know if it's because the device itself is getting older or because the weather isn't the most ideal and I'm wearing multiple layers over it. GPS is always within 0.2 miles of Runkeeper, MapMyRun, Strava or Google Maps.I've had the 24hr HR function on since the day I bought it. The HR isn't super accurate but it's in the ballpark most of the time. Look, it's a wrist HR monitor which isn't going to be as accurate as an oximeter or a chest strap. But I've used both in the past and hated it (especially since it took 6 months for the chest strap scar to go away after I stopped using it). Do you really want to run/bike with a chest strap or worse, an oximeter on your finger?! I personally don't need the HR to be within 1bpm of my real HR (+/- 10bpms is sufficient for me). Sleep tracking isn't that accurate or informational on a day-to-day basis, but after 6 months of tracking sleep every day you can tell which nights were abnormal. I love that I don't ever have to take it off. I've showered with it every day with no problems (I've never swam with it). The Vivosmart is easily fooled into thinking you've accomplished your step or stair goals for the day, but I'm not too picky about that. As long as I exceed the "goal" by 500-1,000 steps I think I'm still meeting my actual goal.Specific issues other reviews mentioned:- People have complained about scratches on the screen. I don't have a screen protector and other than a little nick on the wristband at the top right corner above my screen, it's free of damage. I'm not particularly careful with it either (I have a dog, cats, and work with caustic materials - hence the gloves).- Be careful of the charging ports getting rusty. The manual states this can cause damage to the battery and cause it to malfunction (not hold a charge, not charge at all). Since I shower with it every day I wash the band with soap pretty well and try to clean the rust off a bit before I charge.- The Move bar doesn't reset unless you are constantly moving for a total of 2 minutes. If you walk for a minute, stop for a minute and then walk for another minute it will not reset the Move bar. So yes, you may have been moving around in the last hour but not long enough to reset the bar.- If it thinks you sitting on the couch for 2 hours in the evening was the start of your sleep cycle, you can manually enter when you actually went to bed in the app. It will display the correct time you went to bed and show your movements.- I've had this 6 months and I haven't had any problems with my band yet. Knock on wood. All in all I really love the Vivosmart HR+. I really miss it during the couple of hours I have to charge it every week.

Stairs climbed feature is way inaccurate
I wanted to love this, but returned due to inaccuracy. Perhaps mine is just defective, but here’s the low down of my experience with this tracker:Pros:Water resistant! Can wear swimming and in shower.- love the garmin connect app and its ability to sync with MyFitnessPal- great battery life of 7 days- smallish in size and relatively comfortable, except when sleeping at times since I rest my arm under my head but not a big deal.- move notifications feature greatCons: floors climbed feature highly inaccurate. Consistently misses 8 out of 10 times. Seems to be a known problem with no fix after I researched online. Because of this, the accuracy of other functions that I can’t measure is questionable. Thinking perhaps I got a dud, so this may not be your experience. Overall a nice little band for casual tracking, but not accurate enough for me.

Don't waste your money
I've had this less than 3 months and it's already started malfunctioning...of course it worked for the first 30 days so now I can't send it back. When I drive it adds steps, but it doesn't add steps when I use the elliptical at the gym. More recently, it started needing to be powered off then back on in order to connect to my phone and upload data. It thinks I'm asleep when I'm not too. This isn't the first time I've tried a Garmin activity tracker and I had the same issues with the first one I tried but figured that maybe I just got a glitchy one the first time. It doesn't look like that is the case. I'm extremely disappointed.

Better avoid this Global store products which doesn't come with ...
This product is not worth the money. Sleep tracker stopped functioning after 1 week of use. When contacted Garmin India support, they refused to service it since it's warranty doesn't come under Garmin India support and they sent me a quotation of around 7k-8k for servicing. Better avoid this Global store products which doesn't come with Garmin India support.

Genial!
Excelente producto!

Vivosmart hr + , my fitness pal
Excellent product. If it has to be GPS aided it has to be Garmin. Excellent accuracy. After initial few runs with GPS , the watch automatically syncs to your steps , heartbeat, and cadence and accurately gives readings when GPS not SW on. Remember the route has to be same , and frequency has to be same. Does have problem of flimsy strap and loop. Ensure you put scratch guard on it before use otherwise it takes on too many scratches.

Good value on a sleek fitness watch
Handy little fitness watch with all the features I need. I had issues with early failure on 2 FitBit HR models (6-8 months each) and a Gear Fit Pro Two (2 years) It's smaller and not as bright as the GearFit Pro 2, but I love the sleek design and the purple accent colour. It was much more affordable, and so far I'm pleased with it after using it all summer. I've chosen to not swim with it as I believe that contributed to the failure in my last Samsung watch, even though it was rated for swimming. The notifications are handy as I don't like to pull out my phone while working at the hospital, but I can see messages on my watch.
