My dog loves this food, and I love that I am not torturing and slaughtering animals to feed my dog a healthy diet. I order the small bags so that I can utilize three flavors provided by Halo, where once one bag is gone through, there is a new flavor for a round of the next bag. This way my dog does not get bored, as I am alternating flavors. I also feed Halo canned food to my dog. There is no odor. The size options are good. The quality is very good.

After more than 4 years of ingesting this food, my small breed rescue pooch has made, AND maintained, a REMARKABLE recovery from being a 10 lb underweight malnourished, and otherwise health neglected being! I do feed him a rotation of other vegan foods as well. Variety's of the utmost importance, for many reasons, including staving off developing allergies to any single food. Not only has this food proven to me to be safe and effective, providing all & more of the canine dietary essentials, it's one of the very few dry foods that incorporates Selenium Yeast INSTEAD OF Sodium Selenite!!! Check those two out and compare, for your loved one's safety/health!! I tend to soak kibble (in water that tests clear of detrimental contents) more than not, and mix in other beneficial ingredients -- NOT simply rely on dry kibble bits day in and day out! That'd be torture on multiple levels, even for canines, who tend not to stop and chew most food, thus not generally taste it. (But aroma, that's another thing!) My fur baby's even spunkier, and with a sheeny shiney coat, moist cool nose, sparkly eyes...even more so now than when he was HALF his present age! I'd say this base nutrition has done a LOT to help GET him there AND KEEP him there!

Allergy friendly (you’ll notice that lots of dogs have all sorts of crazy allergies to certain proteins and the prescription allergy food is vegetarian and sometimes even vegan already), reasonable amount of protein (I don’t understand why your Fido needs “ultra extreme extra protein wild wolf diet” to sleep on your couch for 18 hours a day) so your dog doesn’t get the protein farts, healthy grains (required for a healthy heart), and added taurine (non-negotiable dog food requirement that is also added in animal protein dog foods). Awesome price per pound and my picky dog eats it. Smells like dog food. Looks like dog food. Crunches like dry kibble dog food. Multiple friends have now switched their dogs to it and noticed stable weight, healthy skin and fur, and healthy energy levels. Idk, I cannot foresee any reason I’d ever take my dog off it. Going 3-4 years strong now with my senior dog and I love that we both have an environmentally conscious lifestyle :)

My dogs love this stuff they pick this over animal based kibble I’ve tested them side by side they always go for this vegan kibble they are so healthy, energetic, and shiny coats allergies went down 10/10 recommend

My dog is allergic to chicken, beef, fish, lamb, and kidney beans. She can eat this food without getting a rash. With this food, she does tend to have somewhat loose stools unless I mix this with another dog food (purina hydrolyzed soy protein)

I love this brand my dogs become 70% more active and happier over time on this , I have tried it for few years and when I bought them animal staff like food with chicken I notice they energy level went down

My bull terrier has some fierce allergies. We have tried grain free, changing proteins, allergery vitamins and supplements, Zyrtec, Benadryl, washes, mousses, oils, nothing helped. This was my last ditched effort before trying prescription food or lifelong prescription medications and it helped so much with her skin management. She looks SO MUCH better after finding this despite my skepticism and she isn’t chewing her skin off her legs anymore- it’s absolutely worth a shot if you’re considering it!

Let me start off by saying my dog loves to eat! At first Goldie loved the vegan dog food. He ate it for about a strong three days and then all of a sudden it was a heck no. 🤣🤣 And never ate it again! I don't personally know how it tasted but I can say that it smelt like pure dog crap. It looked like it was hard as a rock, and drier than rice cakes.
