These worked better than expected. Bought these for a cruise which included snorkelling, jet ski, and swimming. I was a little skeptical putting my thousand dollar plus cell phone in it, so I tested it first by placing tissue inside, sealing it, and then submerging it is 6 feet of pool water. I held it under for several minutes and splashed around to see if it would hold up to active use. When my test was done I was pleased to find that none of the tissue got a drop of water on it. Perfectly dry inside. I was not so concerned with being able to try to use it while in the bag, but it was a nice feature that I could still snap underwater shots and use the phone/texting feature when not in the water as well. I felt the lanyard was pretty secure and confident it would not just snap off. Putting the phone with a protective case on it in the Pelican Pouch was a little challenging if you have a larger device, however if you removed it from the case before putting in the pouch it was no issue and made installation very easy. I was not worried about not being in my regular protective case, because the Pelican Pouch offered just as much protection. Great product if you are going to be using a phone in or around water.

Bought these for a trip to French Polynesia that involved snorkeling and lots of time in the water. These held up well. Phones went in and out easily and stayed dry. Being able to touch the screen worked well when above water. Underwater was hit or miss, so we ended up starting videos above the surface. These are in line with other Pelican products in terms of quality and durability.

Excellent buy, excellent value! Ease of use: product is extremely easy to use. Camera window is easy to locate which makes this extremely easy to identify how to place your phone into the pouch. Waterproofing: product operates as advertised. My family and I used these pouches in a saltwater bay. They were brought into the water and used to record both in and out of the water, fully submerged at a snorkeling depth of 3 feet or less. Clarity: these pouches do not even appear to be on when taking photos and videos. The clarity is uncanny. Durability: the pouches lasted a full 8 hours of boating along with approximately 2 hours of water time. They do seem like they will last a considerable amount of time. Issues: forward camera is not accessible for facial recognition. Don’t expect to unlock or authorize electronic payment using facial recognition while your phone is in the case. Phone can still be unlocked using your alternative method. Additionally, the side button can be challenging to manipulate. This can pose an issue for those who use the side buttons to take photos or videos, to lock the phone, or for other uses. I do not consider this a problem as I bought these pouches for their waterproof and floating properties. In these categories, the pouches are excellent! Money well spent!

Bought this to use while snorkeling in Hawaii. Loved it - with 2 exceptions. It took great pics & videos UNLESS I tried to start a video or take a pic underwater…then the buttons wouldn’t work. I had to surface, start the video, then go below the surface and hope it kept going. Several times it stopped without me pushing a button so that was very frustrating. I missed some great shots for this reason. The 2nd thing is something I loved/hated. If I’m just walking around. The lanyard length is great. If I want to extend my arms (below water or to take a selfie with my husband) then the lanyard is much too short. I wish it was adjustable. That said, I loved the clip that adjusted so I could tighten it and make it less likely to slip off my head while snorkeling. I trust Pelican products so if I need to buy one again, I will - I trust it to keep my phone safe & dry and that’s exactly what it did for nearly 2 weeks in paradise.

My IPhone stayed dry and protected at the waterpark, Pool and beach. It’s a good quality case. However though my Iphone 17 Max Pro fits inside, when taking video or pics, the camera is partially covered creating a Black shadow in my videos.

I was on the fence but really glad I bought this at the last minute. It fits the pixel 9 pro even with a phone case already on the phone. Kept both phones dry. It floats and the phones did not overheat. It can take sharp photos underwater but depends how deep the water is, it is not consistent underwater, it can be hard to press the button underwater. Best to use a timer for underwater shots.

Bought the 4 pack for a recent trip. Very durable and safe and provided great camera quality. None of the pouches leaked, even after occasionally going deeper than the recommended depth. I would give a 5 star rating but screen functionality did not work while underwater. Not sure if that’s common for these types of underwater pouches and maybe I failed to read the description fully but it made it impossible to take photos while submerged. On the other hand, if you start recording video prior to going under, you’re all set and the quality is great.

Absolutely love this phone holder! Everything stayed completely dry, we were in a pontoon and with a few accidental splashes the phone stayed dry. The transparent TPU window is crystal clear, letting me snap underwater shots effortlessly. It even floats so was able to take the phone with me to take pics of my kids. I use both a Pixel 8 and Pixel 9, and while both fit, it’s snug. The lanyard clip is sturdy and well made. Great protection, high‑end feel, and totally dependable for water adventures!
