Brilliant shampoo for getting all the product buildup from other products. It smells nice and feels nice on the hair without stripping it. I have afro natural hair, which I wear straight. Do not use this as your regular shampoo, use it to clarify, as it would be too much.

I picked this up after hearing great things about Redken’s bond-building formula, and I was hoping it could help with some breakage and dryness from heat styling. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. After just a couple of washes, my hair felt noticeably stronger and softer. It has a rich, creamy texture that lathers beautifully without needing a ton of product, and it rinses out clean without leaving any residue or heaviness. Okay so I have just bought it and used it twice and could already feel the difference in my hair. It feels so much softer! I do recommend! I’ve got the shampoo and conditioner, I am happy with both.

I have fine, straight hair that’s highlighted, low-lighted, going grey - basically a bit high maintenance at this stage - and I’ve really struggled with dryness and breakage. The problem is most “repair” products are just too heavy for my hair. They promise moisture but leave me looking flat or greasy within a day. This Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate shampoo and conditioner were recommended by my hairdresser when I was honestly at the point of desperation — and I’m so glad I listened. I’m now on my second purchase, which says a lot. You only need a small amount, so the bottles last ages. It cleans properly without stripping, and the conditioner smooths without weighing my hair down. Used together (and I also add the Redken leave-in treatment), the improvement has been noticeable. My hair feels stronger, looks smoother, and has far less of that frazzled, dry look on the ends. It still leans dry - that’s just my hair type - and I do have to be mindful not to overload it, but overall it feels healthier and has more life and shine than it has in a long time. If you have fine but damaged or processed hair and you’re scared of heavy repair products, this range is definitely worth trying. It’s one of the few that manages to strengthen without suffocating your hair.
