Awesome comb, and very classic
This comb is awesome! I never thought I'd care enough about a comb to leave a review. But, here you go. Here's the thing. My husband had read that plastic combs have tiny imperfections on the teeth and it basically 'scrapes' your scalp which leads to irritation and I think even broken strands. Anyhow, aside from that, he really liked the idea of a 'different' comb. So admittedly, we ordered this because it was different, fun, and because supposedly it was better for your scalp and hair. Turns out, we both love it and can't live without it. I have long hair; about halfway down my back. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it and it TANGLES super easy. I have used a plastic wide-tooth comb for as long as I can remember. It works fine, and I never thought much about trying anything else. It takes me maybe 10 minutes to comb my hair after a shower and good conditioner. One day I really wanted to try his comb. I don't know why. It's just handsome. But I figured I wouldn't be able to get it through my hair even once because it's a normal comb, not wide-tooth. Well. Color me shocked...that thing glided right through. I have to work a bit, but it's SO much less. It really does feel more comfortable and it works through my hair so much easier than the big name plastic comb I used. I have no idea why this is. I can't tell you if it's about the 'imperfections' in the teeth of the plastic. I can't tell you if it's because of the tapered, slim teeth of this wood comb, or if it's magic. (:)) But I can tell you that this comb feels great in your hand, it's handsome, and it works well; both for my hair as described and for my husband's thick, short hair. I can't speak to the longevity of this comb too much. We've had it about a year and it's not had any issues, but, we've never dropped it very hard, either.

I love this comb
I have another neem comb and have loved it but I have three girls with very fine hair so I needed the double toothed comb. I was estatic to find this one. I had to order it twice, the first time the wrong comb came, it was a very nice wood comb but not neem and not double toothed. So I sent it back for a refund and when the refund came I reordered. This time the right one came! I was gone when it came but I got it last night and tested it on my hair. The fine toothed side has two teeth that are smooshed together, this doesn't bother me because it is almost dead center next to where it changes to the wide tooth so it shouldn't affect the efficiency. My hair is coarser than my girls but it was able to comb my hair with both sides just fine, there were a few snags when using the fine side but no more than I would have had with any fine toothed comb. I really liked that the neem smell wasn't super strong on this one as it was on my other one when I got it. It also seems to be sturdier than my other comb which is a plus as the kids have broken off the ends on my other comb. I foresee this one lasting much longer and making it easier for me to style the little ones hair.

Difference form first use
I’ve been using plastic combs and brushes my whole life (I know), and I can feel the improvement of wood form the first use. This comb is much larger than my little plastic one so it will take some getting used to, but I don’t feel the hair snapping and there’s no static when I comb my hair! I’m looking forward to the long term results.

Not a fine tooth comb
It's handsome and obviously handmade. Teeth were not well finished and had rough splintered areas. Is not really fine teeth.

Effective, gentle, great smelling.
Larger than I realized; it's about nine inches long. But I had not expected that this size would work even better than the smaller comb I had in mind. It knocks it out of being used as a back-pocket or phone-pocket comb. But for the home or car or office comb it's excellent. The size and the just-right curvature (which also doesn't really show in the photos much) can cover one whole side of your jaw in one sweep. The teeth are gently rounded on all edges. The slots do not narrow down to hair-catching points, they are rounded enough at the back too. Give this a squirt of beard conditioning oil (or massage into your beard first) and use it square, don't drag it hard at a sharp angle, and you will never have a tangle or knot. The perfect combination with a boar's-bristle hairbrush for keeping a beard orderly and moisturized. The wood smells great on its own, too.

Not a quality smooth or polished finish
Comb doesn't glide easily through my beard. Another brand I bought had a polished finish and doesn't get caught in tangles like this one does.

Unusable
Pros: Smells and looks good. Price.Cons: Poorly made. Unusable. The comb is poorly made. The spaces between the teeth are full of wood burrs and are very rough, snagging hairs and ripping them out. With the first pass, it pulled out an unusually large amount of hair. Certainly, one looses hairs in the natural shedding process and those often appear on one's comb or brush, but this went far beyond that phenomenon. I will either have to painstakingly and finely sand between each tooth on this comb or return it. It cannot be used as is.I ordered two other styles of wooden combs (there are four of us in our house and we all prefer/use different types of combs) from another vendor. Those arrived smoothly sanded. I will probably look for another one like this one through them, even though I prefer the color of this wood. Looks don't matter when an item is unusable.
