workes good like it

This is easy to set up. You need to use a malty meter to check power and current. Set the power to the required voltage. Then set the current. All done. But Its worth noting that this needs to be a bit of a match to what you are using it for. For example if yo need 12 volts at 1 or amp or lower. Then it could be worth using a smaller buck converter. Above 1 amp it works ok. 2 and above more control. I'm not sure of the reliability as yet as I have not used it enough. Below 1 amp the current detection tends not to be too effective.

Just be sure that you don't limit the current when adjusting the voltage output (unless that's what you're going for)

It definetly reduced the voltage as it was supposed to but would not pass enough current to operate even a light load, and all adjustments were checked and rechecked. It also comes with no instructions what so ever.

I'm not using this to anywhere even close to it's rated capacity, but I am using it to convert an 18V battery voltage to 12V to power a motor. The unit looks well made, the diagram on the page is wrong with regards to the voltage and current trim pots, they're the other way around, voltage is set on the outermost pot. I am only consuming 6W, so its hardly surprising that this stays cool. There are cheaper ones around, and I read the reviews and deviced to go for this one which seemed to be higher quality than some of the others I found. The video shows the buck convered connected to the 18V battery which is ultimately powered a 12V motor. I'd definitely buy and use these again.
