If you have to quickly get-up to speed regarding the basics of Municipal Engineering.
Great refresher on my college courses. I need some practical Municipal Engineering advise ASAP given the changes in my work responsibilities. Great knowledge for a person who is to be a Generalist in these disciplines. For me it was the right book at the right time!

Great resource for entry level design engineers
This text is a great resource for an aspiring engineer fresh out of school entering their first job at a design firm. This text, in a practical manner, explains important design concepts that most engineers in training will face in their first couple years at a consulting firm. Highly recommended!

I wish I'd had this book when I was in Enginering School
A very fine coverage of the basics. Not a real hard read. Very much worth it's price. Some variables are briefly introduced and then recalled 40 pages later without a hint. Units for some things are unclear. Slope, for example, is discussed in the text in terms of percentage, then used in calculation as a ratio, without clarification. The acronym "BMP" is used several times before it is defined (as Best Management Practices), late in the book. But these don't detract from the overall value. Just some things to clean up in the 2nd edition.
