if you want to start embedded system learning and then as your job.you can take and read this book. from the begining to the professional.for the begininer it's little hard and challenge because there are so many technical point inside.i'm reading and so enjoy it.with many labs and practises.i 'm so enjiy it.

3rd edition is much improved over the 2nd edition, including more Arduino hardware variants, more board diagrams and generally updated. Unfortunately the paperback copy I received is missing first pages up to pg. xii of the preface, which includes the table of contents. Amazon is sending a replacement. This book is not like all the other Arduino books, where they just give you project after project to follow along to. Though examples are given, this books spent an entire chapter on variables, another on string manipulation, another on mathematical operations, one on serial communications etc... You get the idea. This books as far more like an "actual" programming book, rather than a "hobbiest follow-along" style of book that most Arduino books seem to follow. I am so glad I got this one. It's not got the latest boards, such as the Arduino Uno rev 4 within it, due to it being a few years old now, but that didn't bother my learning from it one bit. I recommend this book, especially if you are of a software development background.

Imprescindible

Ça peut se lire de deux façons, soit en, diagonale, ce qui permet de voir tout ce que l'Arduino peut faire (ou ne pas faire), ou lire certains chapitres en détail pour voir comment faire quelque chose de précis. Par contre c'est très orienté programmation, il y a juste trois petites annexes sur les composants, la réalisation de circuits, et le debug hardware.
