So comfortable
Comfortable and good quality. Toes are not too narrow so the boots feel great. And they are great looking!

High quality work boot, well worth the money. Measure your foot before buying.
THE SHORT: Comfortable out of the box, high quality leather and workmanship, true to size - just make sure you actually measure your foot. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: You can smell that gorgeous leather as you unwrap the boot. The leather is nice and thick, with uniform color as you would expect from the brand’s reputation. I’ve ordered the same boot for myself and my girlfriend, and the color is uniform across both pairs. The leather is free from any scratches, and the box was in good shape, though Amazon only packages it with a plastic bag, so it depends on how careful the crew is with the package. Stitch work is precise and uniform. COMFORT & SIZING: I am impressed by how comfortable this boot was out of the box. This is contributed by the cushy insole that is included in the boot, as well as the high-quality leather of the boot itself. I normally wear a size 10.5, but a 10.5 in the boot was actually just a little too big for me. When measuring my foot heel to toe, I am exactly 10.5”. According to Ariat’s size guide, their size 10 boot fits a heel to toe of 10.6”, while a size 10.5 fits a heel to toe of 10.8”. With a size 10.5, the boot slipped on with ease, but my entire foot was sliding around the boot when working. It wasn’t significant, but just enough to make it awkward and uncomfortable to walk in. The size 10 still slipped on with ease, but the fit at the instep (at your foot’s arch area) feels much more like a handshake. The my pinky toe is touching the outside edge of the toebox, but it is not uncomfortable, and will feel better once the boot is fully broken in. There is still a gentle slip in the heel — all of which means the size 10 is the perfect fit for my 10.5” heel to toe. ENDING NOTES: I will update this review as I complete the break-in period, though I can already tell that this will be a very comfortable and dependable work boot for years to come.

Pretty good boot
Turned my opinion on Ariats. Good simple comfortable boot. Im not so sure bout durability tho. I wore em to work few days and somehow sliced through the rubber sole at the toe point and I can almost peak into the boot. Im a little more careful and precise with my movements, specifically my feet and I do not recall ever making a significant impact or kicking something at work with these boots on as i would definitely feel it as these are without steel toe. Possible user error. I do prefer my Durangos, but these Ariats were less than half the price.

Ariat Western R Toe Cowboy Boots feel as good as my walking shoes.
I've worn Tony Lama's for 50 years, so I hesitated to order these until the price offered on Amazon, justified my trying them out. Right out of the box I put them on and walked several miles in them. The weather has been rather wet for a month or more, and I was concerned that the leathers soles on my Lama's would expedite the deteriorization and force me to have them half soled later in the year. At first I thought these were a little larger than I had planned on, although they were very comfortable brand new. The rubber (?) soles and heals somehow made them feel very similar to the slip on walking shoes I've work in the past. My immediate concern about size quickly disappeared. They are the perfect size and exactly what I wanted. 10 1/2 EE and now that they are a week old and I wear them constantly during the day, I've found them to be as comfortable as my walking shoes. As I've done in the past, I always put rubber taps (ordered from Amazon) on the heels to guard against my heals getting worn down and forcing me to the expense of rehealing. Bottom line; these are great boots, their comfortable, they will hold up for what will be an extended time without resoling and rehealing, and I'll very likely be ordering another pair in a few months. They are clean looking boots and I'm sure will be easy to polish and visually give me that western look I strive for. FYI, I've had ingrown toenails for 30 or 40 years and the Lamas did put pressure on them, which is not apparent with the Ariat. I'm hooked! Follow up - I bought a 2nd pair as a backup. They were tighter and didn't appear to be EE WIDE, but I put them on the shelf expecting that break in would be required. I should have had them replaced them, because when I decided to break them i, I couldn't get them on. Bought a Bloodhound cowboy boot stretcher and had to put 3 pair of wet thick socks in the stretchers and after 3 days each boot got them on with help of a 13" boot horn, without socks. So I'm going to slowly stretch them to my feet with socks on, but they feel good barefooted. Had I been wise, I would have sent them back and replaced them immediately. But once they are broken in, they wI'll serve my needs for the future I'm sure. I believe I experienced a QC problem, so if they don't fit, replace them ASAP. Following up, broke them in after a.little stretching as mentioned above. They are wonderful, just like the first pair I literally have wore every day for years, and will continue to, until they finally fall apart. I would still recommend quickly exchaning them and reordering another pair, even in the same siz, if they don't feel good out of the box. The EE width is a blessing to put on my feet. And using rubber taps on the heals will elite the need for heel replacement. Check them out on Amazon also. ENJOY!

Great Fit and Quality - Excellent Value for Money!
I recently purchased the Ariat Heritage R Toe Men’s Boots, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. These boots fit exactly as described, and I was impressed with their comfort right out of the box. The sizing was spot on, and I appreciated the true-to-size fit. The standout feature of these boots, in my opinion, is the exceptional leather quality. The leather feels durable and looks fantastic. It’s evident that Ariat pays attention to the materials they use, and it’s reassuring to know that these boots are built to last. What truly sets these boots apart is the incredible value for money they offer. You get a high-quality, well-fitting pair of boots at a price that won’t break the bank. Whether you’re wearing them for work or just as a stylish addition to your wardrobe, they won’t disappoint. Overall, the Ariat Heritage R Toe Men’s Boots are a fantastic investment 😊

Very good
These are great boots. The name is well known for quality. About mid calf height. Beautiful design. I have only one complaint, these boots were made in Indonesia. American cowboy boots made in Indonesia, that's insulting.

Poorly Constructed Boots
Worst pair of boots I've ever put on. 73 y.o. and have been wearing boots since i was very young Inconsistent construction. The vamp over the instep is high and loose on the right boot, but extremely tight on the left boot. Soles are hard plastic and barely flexible. Shafts were different diameters, loose on one boot, tight on the other. Shaft on both boots was very stiff thick leather. Overall, leather was very stiff Impossible to walk heel to toe. I ordered, or thought i ordered, round toe, but toes were pointed and toe boxes on both boots were very crowded and tight. On the other hand, heels on both boots were overly loose. Welt appeared to be made of soft cotton thread. I doubt the boots would last a whole year. First time i ever ordered boots online, but saw the try before you buy and felt that it was safe. In the future i will do what i have done for the past 7 decades and will buy from a store where i can try them on first.
