Awesome product. Seriously, where has this stuff been all my life?
This stuff is great. I've used it on 4 different bikes, 6 total applications between them. I've used half a small bottle. I have no complaints. My chains are cleaner, quieter, and easier to maintain. The gravel bike chain stays so clean now that the tech at my LBS thought I hadn't been using lube...until he touched the chain and could feel it. He was also quite impressed. I love that it cleans and lubes all at once. Yes, it takes more of this stuff than standard lube, but it's doing two jobs with a single application. And for the price, it's worth it. To save you some time web-searching for instructions, here's the basics for using it: -Put your chain on the big ring up front and the small ring in back. -Unlike traditional wet/dry lube, don't do a single drop per roller. Turn the crank and get the chain wet until it's almost dripping. If doing this indoors, put down a cloth or something. -After the chain is coated (I do it until it drips a bit if I stop turning the crank), cycle the chain through all gears front and back several times. Don't skimp here or cut corners. Take your time and run through all the gears thoroughly. -You should pretty quickly start to notice the chain looking cleaner as this stuff pulls grime and grease to the surface. It's kinda crazy to watch it happen. -Get a rag, wrap it around the lower portion of the chain between the crank and rear derailleur. Keep turning that crank as you squeeze with the rag. Get the top, bottom, inside, and outside. When the rag turns black, move to a clean spot and keep going. -When you think you've wiped enough off, keep wiping. You're not going to remove all of this stuff no matter how much you wipe, so just keep going until you're satisfied with how your chain looks. -Lightly wipe down the gears on your rear cassette to remove any excess lube/cleaner and any gunk it may have loosened. Do the same on the crank gear(s). -Let the bike sit overnight. The website says you can ride right away if you want, but they also say the stuff works better if you let it sit overnight and form a protective layer on the chain. That's it. Whole process takes me about 5-10 minutes, tops. Now you just need to run the chain through a rag after your rides until you feel like it's time to retreat the chain.

extends chain life, quiets chain noise.
great lube, I've been using it for a looonnnggg time. I live in FL where there is sand on every ride and this seems to be the best. I've tried chain wax and other lubes. I ride every day and lube/wipe down about every two weeks or after any wet ride. I'm getting years out of my chains now. I wipe the chain with old towels by running backwards, then really soak the you know what out of the chain, then run it through old towels again to wipe off the gunk. I have a piece of cardboard cut to fit alongside the wheel to keep splash off of the wheel and tire.

This is my Go-To Lube!
Perfect lube! Light, but not too sheer, long lasting, silky-smooth shifts, does not attract excess dirt, perfect for road biking! Over the course of many years of avid cycling (typically 4000-8000 mi/season), my years as a bike store manager or employee, as a ride leader for 3 different bike organizations and an organizer of independent week-long bicycle tours, I can tell you I've tried many different brands and types of chain lubes. Everything from wet lubes, Teflon, ceramic, wax, and all types of dry lubes. And I just cannot find a lube that performs as well as RNR Gold. I always keep a couple bottles around as I don't want to run out. I find it performs very well when you clean your drive train every 200-250 miles and apply 1 drop per link. Run your chain backwards for 30 seconds or so, then try as hard as you can to wipe off all the excess until your rag is "clean." Don't forget to "floss" your cogs and clean your pulleys and chainrings, too. If you do this you'll find your shifts are smoother, quieter and faster, and your drive train will last beyond their projected life. (Disclaimer: if your drive train is in need of a tune up and your chain is in need of replacement no amount of superior lube is going to make your shifts good! Get your bike to the shop for a tune up and possible replacement of parts first!) I have one bike with over 35000 miles and all the original drive train parts (Shimano DuraAce grupo, 2008). I retired the bike years ago, but still ride it occasionally when my current road bike is having a tune up. Still is a beautiful ride! I have to say, keeping the drive train clean and lubing with a quality lubricant like RNR Gold is the best long term maintenance you can do to keep your bike performing optimally! Happy trails!

Best stuff out there
This stuff is the king of chain lubricant, and I won’t use any other brand.

Pretty good for the dry
I had been using Muc-Off Dry for a while, but wanted to give something else a try and had liked the R&R Red before. This Gold has turned out to work pretty good in the dry, dusty conditions of Southern AZ. It doesn't trap dirt and is easy to clean off. But as a consequence of not trapping dirt and being easy to clean off it is pretty thin so I have to make sure to reapply often. Not sure how it would do in the wet though as that's not a condition we see here in the desert very often. I think I'll get another bottle when I need it since it's been working good so far.

Keeps Your Bike Chain in Good Working Order
This was recommended to me by my bike tune up guy to keep my chain in good working order and help keep gunk from building up on my chain. It’s a simple and effective maintenance step.
