This is the only water additive that actually worked for my dog's terrible breath after only a few uses!! We originally found it at a local pet store but they stopped carrying it so I was glad we could find it on Amazon. unfortunately my dog has a super sensitive stomach and we had to stop using this because she started having vomiting issues, unsure if it's related to the product though, as her issues continued even after discontinuing.

I have used one bottle of Bluestem Oral Care in my dogs water so far and the results are amazing. Her teeth were so bad especially in the back. After only a few days I could really tell a difference in her breath and teeth in the front. After using the bottle I can tell a difference in her back teeth. They are actually starting to look much better. The plaque is coming off which I am so glad of. I got her when she was three years old and her teeth were very bad. I tried several different products and this is the only one that has made a big difference in her teeth. I am ordering a second bottle and plan to always use it in my dogs water. Thank you so much for a wonderful product. I highly recommend this product for any one who wants to keep their dogs teeth clean and breath fresh.

I give my dog daily dental chews and I brush his teeth 4 to 5 times a week. But it's hard to get to the back molars when he doesn't want to cooperate. So I bought this water additive to see what it could do for his teeth. I'm not sure what it does for his teeth but the weird thing is he gets a bad smell every time he uses it. At first I tried a small amount for just a few days and he had an odd smell around his tail. It could be anal gland issues, but it's not fishy, it's more an organic soil smell. So I stopped using it. He got a bath. All smells better. Tried it again a few weeks later. The smell is back on like day three. I cannot for the life of me explain what that link is, but it's the only change in his routine. He never smells like this unless he has this water additive. I'm posting this review in case other people have the same experience. Update: I think the anal gland issue and the water additive are unrelated. Weird timing for the first two instances but now everything is fine and my dog routinely drinks the water with the additive with no problem. We haven't yet built up to the full strength in the water, but it does seem to be reducing the tartar on his molars.

I was skeptical when ordering this because I’ve purchased similar products from Walmart and petsmart before, and all were a fail. They were a fail because either the dogs did not like the taste, or the dogs like the taste so much that they’d drink the entire bowl in one sitting. This product from bluestem is perfect because is has no taste or smell. The dogs do not even notice it is in there. I’ve used it for about three days now, and I’ve definitely seen results. I have six dogs in total. All sizes and all ages and it’s working for all of them. I can also see their teeth are whiter since using the product. For the larger dogs I use two capfuls in their bowls and for the smaller dogs I use just a little less than a capful. I also wash the bowls every day and start fresh. I’m recommending this to all my other dog Mom friends.

Neither my dog nor cats will drink water with this in it.

Non-flavored bottle review... I've been adding this to my 12 lb dogs water each morning for 6 months or so. Yes, it helps her breath some. Yes, I notice a small change in her tartar build up but this is NOT a replacement for having your dogs teeth cleaned professionally nor does it replace brushing their teeth. Yes, the ingredients are listed as food grade but after Googling all 5 ingredients, I have some concerns. I am curious if anyone has been using this product for more than 2 years & if so, how their animals health is.

This additive works amazingly well. It’s like voodoo magic. My dog had horrendous breath and you couldn’t even be in the same room as he was. 4 days after use his bad breath was gone like magic. I love how it works. However............. It’s expensive to use because you have to use so much per bowl of water and my dog is a big dog that drinks a lot of water. The price makes it difficult to justify. I’ve tried other products but I haven’t found one that works as good as this product. I’m torn as to whether I live with his breath or just plan on spending $60 plus a month to keep him odor free. Won’t hurt to try a bottle for yourself and see if the cost is worth it to you. My dog’s breath was pretty bad! Like “smell it across the room” bad when his mouth was open. I tried using oral breath tablets and Greenies to improve his teeth cleanliness and his bad breath but after a while his tummy grew sensitive to the tablets and chewables so I needed something else. I heard about Bluestem from a friend and decided to give it a try. After a month of using it, I could already see, or rather smell, a difference. His teeth look healthier and his breath doesn’t smell as bad anymore! People have claimed that their dogs wouldn’t drink the water with the additive but my corgi had no issues and couldn’t tell it was in his water. Definitely purchasing again! Thanks bluestem!
