For the money, excellent design and quality - 5 stars, easy. I paid about $16, which is all I wanted to spend. I don't need one of these very often. Things I like: 1) Really sharp... pay attention when using this. I'm not kidding. And be careful when cleaning it. Just rinse it, or if you want to use soap, use a brush. Keep fingers away from the sharps. 2) The little knob-handle that you place on the food to hold it while you move the food back and forth, and which has little nubs to dig into the food and hold it good. With this knob, you don't have to put your fingers in jeopardy. A LOT of mandolines don't have such a knob. If you don't like the knob, consider a cut-proof glove like they wear at the deli. 3) Lots of accessories. Sure, it doesn't do every conceivable thing you might want a mandoline to do, but really, none of them do, and this unit does the important ones. And it's inexpensive. The few people who bitch about this unit are welcome to spend $100+ on a mandoline, but I won't. You cannot adjust the thickness of slices; you have to spend a lot more money to get one with that feature, that works.

This does pretty much everything you'd expect. And does it well, the only exception being that it's not very good to cut leeks. It would be nice if it came with cut proof gloves because you really do need them - those blades are mighty sharp! Overall very goo.

Ne avevo avuto uno 20 anni fa che ancora funziona ma è nella seconda casa. Ne ho acquistato un altro di marca x spendendo poco meno di questo ma l'ho cestinato dopo 2 utilizzi (di cui uno in cui mi son tagliato). Ho ripreso questo e ne sono felice, non cambierò mai più. Ottimo materiale. Unica pecca non ha piedini antiscivolo. Ha un inserto per le patate a "retina" favoloso.
