Print is very small.
Comfortable Crochet Socks By Sascha Blase-Van Wagtendonk is a very pretty well constructed 125 page book. The book's print is small, and makes reading the pattern cumbersome. The print is also rather light or faded. The patterns seem to be rather hard to follow, because they were written in Dutch and then translated into English. Looking closer at the pictures of the finished socks I noticed that the socks has spacing between each stitch, because a US size G hook is used to make gauge. The proper size hook for sock yarn is US size C/D crochet hook. I would send this book back, but "my bad" for not looking into this book further before hitting the purchase tab. This is the second crochet book that I had purchased with small print from Stackpole Books. (It may be the preferred print size from this publishing company.)

Size range was disappointing
The sock patterns are easy enough to follow for the most part, but only two of the ten patterns go up to size large. The other 8 go from baby sizes through medium (men's shoe size 10). I got the book to make socks for my dad, and now 4/5ths of the patterns aren't useful. It would really have been nice to know that before I bought it.
