I ordered two of these excellent monitors and am very pleased with them. They elevate and rotate easily. As a writer, I especially appreciate the portrait mode, which allows me to see entire pages even with the font size set moderately large. Then bezels and clean design are great. The packaging was some of the best I've seen. The monitors were well protected during shipment. To put my praise in perspective, these two Dell monitors replaced three superb but older Sony monitors that were still doing a great job. But, the Sony monitors don't elevate or rotate and the Dell monitors do.

I've used comparable NEC monitors for years but the price of these Dell monitors made them attractive since I needed to by several for multiple workstations. They have not disappointed. While they lack some of the of my NEC monitors (proximity sensors for power management and built in speakers for instance), they're an inch bigger and significantly cheaper. Will continue to buy these for additional workstations.

After less than one year of use, I see a white patch on the screen near the power button. I'm assuming the LED light is bleeding to the display. This is only noticeable in dim lights. Everything else was great and really liked the Dell driver for it.

Overall, a great monitor for business or home use. Comparison to previous model We were using the previous model, P2414H and recently switched over to the P2417H. * We like having the USB on the side now instead of on the back, it's much easier to access now. * For some users, 24" is too wide for dual screens. We've switched them to the 22" version and they are happy. * The bezel is thinner, which we like. * The hole on the stand for cable management is bigger which makes it easier to pull the cables through for cable management. Display The screen quality is still excellent. We did have to return 1 of our P2414H's because it had a green line, but the other 10+ have had no problems. Packaging * Sturdy, but the extremely folded cardboard inserts are a bit hard to remove and break down for disposal. * Love that all the packaging is recyclable!

The seller of this monitor is in Panama, per Dell support.. As a result, Dell does not support monitors purchased in the US on Amazon. I purchased this Dell monitor P2417H as a duplicate to another monitor so I could have 2 monitors. This monitor has messed up colors. The white on this monitor shows up as a pale yellow. The same model P2417H that I purchased a few months ago at MicroCenter in Atlanta is much better and the white looks more natural. For some reason, the Dell monitors sold on Amazon are inferior to the Dell monitors that you can purchase locally in the US at Best Buys or Microcenter. The colors will look different even though they are the exact same monitors! When I called Dell support, they kept transferring me to different international support departments, even though I live and purchased this in the U.S. on Amazon. Their support was horrible. The rep was based in India and the language barrier was difficult. They speak like robots and did not care whether I return it. I will keep my old Acer monitor as the 2nd monitor which displayed much better.

I bought two of these. For the work I do, I needed a double monitor set-up. One in landscape (horizontal) position and the other in portrait (vertical) position. It took me awhile to find monitors for this configuration, and I'm glad I got these Dell monitors. The inputs are perfect, too. The laptop I use with these monitors has a VGA port and a DP port. Many of the other monitors I looked at would have required adapters. But these monitors have both types of ports I needed, plus HDMI, so I was able to plug one into each port of my laptop. The monitors came with the cords I needed, so I didn't have to buy anything else. The price was pretty good, too. I've been using these for about 2 months now, and I have zero complaints.

I received this monitor from amazon last week and its the first LED monitor I own. Until now I was using a quite old lcd monitor as a secondary display with my laptop. I ordered this because I was getting eye stain from my previous monitor and from the laptop . I also wanted a bigger screen so I went for this 23.8 inch model. Although its my first LED , I have used LED monitors before in friends house and stuff. I haven't yet gone through the customization options so these are my impressions of the factory settings : Build and additional features : Feels well built , sturdy height-adjustable stand and usb ports. All good. The only complaint I have in this area is that it does not come with HDMI cable so I had to order it after I found out . Its still on its way . Display ( at factory default ) with VGA cable : Once I set it up , I went through some high def images and WOW ! Really beautiful and well defined colors. Quite an experience . On the other hand , low quality videos look quite bad on it . Yes it does look bad on the laptop screen too but then you don't notice it that much . I feel the quality difference to a much bigger extend when using the 2417h. Then I opened up the audio editing software that I regularly work in and it was an improvement there as well . Bigger screen , more space to spread things out generously , much better colors again . I realize the software itself looks fantastic . The bigger screen size definitely helps in day to day work. Most importantly , after using this monitor for hours , my eyes don't feel strained . Is this one of the reasons why this model is called professional monitor ? I haven't tried playing any games in it so I can't speak of that. I'm still waiting for the HDMI cable to arrive and I hope that makes a further improvement in the picture quality. So far I don't feel the need to do any picture adjustments but I'll just go through the options soon to see if it can bring anything more to the table. I can't speak of how durable the monitor is . Regarding other areas , for the price point especially, its a 5/5

One of the best monitors there is in this price bracket. I was looking for a height adjustable monitor and Dell P2417H was one of the value for money and very sharp monitor. I bought a Dell universal Dock D6000 Dell Universal USB 3.0 USB-C Docking Station D6000 Supports up to Three 4K Displays . I bought 2 of this monitors 1 from Amazon and another from a different eCommerce site as the monitor order was limited to 1 on Amazon. The text display is ultra sharp with a viewing distance of about 24-36 inches. The monitor can be adjusted for height so no more sore neck. Dell is one of the biggest manufacturer of monitors and we cannot go wrong with a choice of monitors from Dell. Please note I don't use the monitor for watching movies and editing images, if you are looking for an ultra-sharp monitor where every pixel counts, look at Dell U series and they are expensive. I'm happy with my purchase and extremely happy shopping on Amazon. We get what we want and excellent return/replace policy. If the product is on Amazon Prime I hardly worry before placing an order. With a dual monitor setup and a dock my life has become much easier while reading, reviewing documents or writing software.

Got two of these in dual config, one landscape and one portrait. Excellent monitors with tones of connectivity on the back end. These are definitely more of a work day monitor, not really designed for high end games, but still good enough to watch movies on. Good value for money!

Delivery: Within time. The product was under Prime delivery. Packaging was very good, Dell Box was covered by another box by Amazon. Product: Pros: The Professional series is quite good compared to E and S series. Reason I bought this was 1) to a have a bigger screen (23.8") which helps a lot as I mostly use for programming 2) Comes with Anit glare coating which doesnt strain the eyes affter long hours. I mostly use it for content creation purpose rather than content consumption (playing multimedia), even though the picture quality is quite good. 3) Its price is reasonable but if you want a better experience then Dell U2412m is really good and is more sharper and better contrast than this monitor. Cons: 1) This monitor doesnt have settings for brightess/contrast. though it has preset options like Multimedia/Movie/Standard etc. But you can have custom color settings by calibrating the RGB settings. Its a bit hard to get all 3 right (RGB). Would give it 5 stars if they had Brightness/Contrast settings. 2) They dont provide HDMI cable even though it has an HDMI port. Not a big deal but you will have to spend few bucks to get one.
