It’s not what I did, ground is level. If so they should work.

Do these drain dog urine?

Yes, but you will probably stain them. They are plastic

Are they hot to walk on by the pool in the sun in bare feet?

Yes they get as hot as concrete or stones. I would NOT ever buy this product again. No instructions for assembly, flimsy - broke connectors when trying to take apart to make a different shape...disappointing appearance and very expensive for a bad product. ANd also very hard to move into position once assembled...really need 4-6 people to move it.

Not really. You can walk on when wet. You are walking on plastic.
