I have used this top coat paint many times and it is very good paint.

Sanded these aluminum throat plates and then made sure there was no dust. Safety Red is a near exact match to original. These vintage plates are hard to find. Really satisfied with the results.

Based on the reviews I was kind of hesitant on using the aerosol top coat. I've heard the paint on stuff is very good so I decided to try the aerosol ( in saftey RED) on a quad frame that I had stripped down back to bare metal. I used a basic aerosol primer gray and gave it 3 Coats with a small sand in between coats. Then I proceeded to use about 4 cans of the aerosol top coat leaving about 3 days of dry time between each coat. I also left the frame outside for a couple hours A-day to Sun bake. Each coat i did for the frame used about a full can. The results are amazing. very glossy and a nice even finish. Paint is very druable after it has fully cured. At the end of the day paint is paint but I was pretty impressed

Pros: None Cons: Much more expensive but This paint requires multi, mutli passes for full coverage AND the coverage is VERY splotchy, uneven and unfortunately like all spray paints it cannot be returned or I would. But not only that: This phony garbage doesn't prevent rust. I used it on my '77 truck bed which is a 74 bed inside and out follow the directions exactly first taking my bed down to bare metal the whole thing follow the treatment procedures coated it with this top coated it with after it tacked up and then used the 415 primer on top of that the grey. I come back a few months later and there's rust coming through on the bed rails. I followed that procedure exactly decontaminated used all the whole system. From start to finish and it's rusting. And I just took a picture of The rust for another review butthis review thing on Amazon is so lame that I can't access that picture again in my phone to leave it on this review! The choice Amazon leaves me is click on a link to take another picture with the phone camera or click on another link that takes me someplace in my phone where the last picture I took for the last review is not located! In fact it takes me to some ridiculous folder in my camera where none of the pictures I've ever taken with my camera are!
