Simplicity Easy to Sew Women's Pants, Shorts, and Skirt Sewing Patterns by Karen Z, Sizes 16-24

This is such a great pattern. The 1st pants I made w/it were a bit shaky, but the 2nd, 3rd, & now 4th pair I made are exquisite. This pattern makes me feel like a pro -- this is only my 2nd style of pants made. This pattern is a great investment.

Some of the instructions are a little confusing but with the pictures provided with each step it's possible to figure it out. If you can figure out how to do one item the instructions follow very similarly for each piece with minimal differences (skirt vs pants). One thing I do not remember seeing anywhere was the need for lining/backing when I purchased this pattern. That would have been good to know before getting this pattern. I'm glad I had some on hand or I would have been a little frustrated needing to run to the store to buy the lining.

I just got back into sewing. Weight is 195, hips 46", waist 42". I made size 24 because I wanted to be sure that the waist would not be too tight and the pants would be comfortable. That was a mistake. I should have chosen size 22. Pros: Instructions were easy to follow, waist band is flattering. Cons: There is A LOT of ease in this pattern and the legs are very wide. Does not come out looking like the photo and drawings on the envelope. Warning: if you make this out of crinkled rayon, as I did, the effect of the massive ease will be enhanced as the crinkles relax while you are wearing the pants.

This pattern is easy to sew and is true to size. If you go by the measurements on the pattern this should fit. Make sure to use light weight, flowy fabric though. The fabric I used was a little to stiff for my liking. I will make this again though.

This is a great pattern. I made one muslin, according to my measurements before cutting into a more expensive fabric. These pants came together so quickly.

Sizing is off on the patterns

Même avec les quelques dessins, il vaut mieux avoir de bonnes notions de couture. Le montage de la ceinture semi-élastiquée est assez technique.
