Great quality speakers and competitively priced
My oval JBL Marine speakers finally started crackling after 17 years of use, so it was time to replace them. I searched high and low and settled on these speakers. Aside from the fact that they fit almost perfectly in the existing holes (I say "almost" because they are a tad smaller than the JBL speakers), the sound was fantastic; I was able to crank the volume with no distortion and solid bass/treble. The price was definitely competitive too; not the lowest, but certainly not the highest. I would definitely recommend these for any boat.

Great deal if you can get these on sale.
I've been using the Polk Audio DB692 DB+ speakers in a custom Bluetooth portable build inside an Apache 2800 weatherproof case, and man, these things deliver big time. They're easily the best-sounding 6x9s I've ever messed with in any setup. The clarity is outstanding, with those crisp highs from the silk dome tweeter and super tweeter never getting piercing, mids that keep vocals and instruments sounding natural and forward, and surprisingly punchy bass for a single coaxial driver in a sealed-ish enclosure like this. If you're putting together a DIY portable speaker and want something that punches above its price without needing subs or fancy tweaks, grab these. You won't regret it.

It's Polk audio. Should be a good product
Bought these as replacement speakers for my harley-davidson. Just put them in this weekend. Haven't had a chance to test them. But Polk makes good stuff so I don't expect any issues

Great quality, excellent sound, and waterproof
Fits good in Apache 2800 box for diy boombox. Have around 100 watts of power going to it. Performs great and has held up to some abuse with no distortion.
