Remote works perfectly right out the package, didn’t even have to pair with box.

Remote control not responding
The replacement remote seem to look just like the original function like it but I just started using it because it was a backup. I have to unplug the mibox and plug it back up every time to get the remote to work. If the remote has then idle for a little while it will start responding. You can't be more than a few feet away while using the remote and I have to double tap whatever button that I'm using twice in order for it to respond. Would have sent it back but it was a backup so I didn't use it right away and now it's past the grace period.

I have an old Mi box, had to Google how to connect with TV. It works great
