Don't expect super sharp shears
I read the reviews before purchasing, but still went ahead and purchased this. I was warned that it wasn't sharp and they were correct. I have this same model from 20 years ago. The handle finally broke on it. The blades are as sharp as the day I bought it. I figured if I buy the same model, it should be the same shears. Nope! The handle feels cheaper and the blades are definitely not as sharp as my 20 year previous one is. I'd rate this just as OK. I am disappointed that it isn't the same quality as my previous one, even though I thought this was the same model.

Better luck next time.
These scissors are usually sharper. When purchasing Conair barber shears, I know from past experience that it's a roll of the dice whether or not they will be sharp when used the first time. I took a shot and these could not perform the function for which they were purchased. I use them for cutting paper and plastic and I'll try again in a few months and see if I get a sharp pair of scissors. When you get a great pair, they last for years!

Loved it until the doubled the price
Worked pretty good for a $5 scissor so i went to get another as a back up and the price doubled. Really? not worth more than $5

Good "beginner" shears
I have used these to cut both mine and by boyfriend's hair for a total of 3 uses so far and they get the job done- I am no professional so I cannot compare this to anything. Good "beginner" shears, but I would probably buy a more professional version the next time I upgrade.

The shears are not good. They would not even cut through thin hair
The shears are not good . They would not even cut through thin hair. I went back to using my old Conair shears I have had for years. I just do home haircuts for the family but I wanted a new pair because mine were not cutting good but they cut way better than the new ones.

You get what you pay for, & it ain't much.
I bought these to help tame my split ends & fix my quarantine bangs. The scissors appeared to be sharp, but within 3 snips the blades caught together & left a nick on one of the blades, which now causes them to catch more & ruins the quality of the cut. It's too soon for me to report back on whether these shears cause more split ends due to the flawed blades, but in the meantime I will retire these to the craft bin & invest in better hair shears.
