Can you use tripods and tripod adapters with this unit? I am looking at Leica TA360 adapter and Leica TRI 100 Tripod. please share any experience!

There is a PDF on Leica's site that indicates that the offset has to be changed to a negative 2 9/16" if using a D5, D8 or E700i. I have a D8 and it's several steps and you have to remember to change it back. La constestación es si y el proceso es el siguiene. Luego de encender la unidad, apretas la tecla de "FUNS" y luego la tecla con el punto, arriba a la izquierda del teclado, para accesar "ajustes". Una vez ahí, con las teclas de flecha vas a el recuadro de "unit" y apretas la tecla roja de "ON-DIST", ahora apretando 3 veces la techa de flecha a la derecha llegas a la columna de "m" (metros) y puedes escoger con las techas de flecha arriba y abajo, entre un lugar decima a 4 lugares decimales. Finalmente marcas nuevamente la tecla roja para marcar tu selección. Espero haberte ayudado. The answer is yes and the process is as follows. After turning on the unit, press the "FUNS" key and then the key with the point, at the top left of the keyboard, to access "settings". Once there, with the arrow keys you go to the "unit" box and press the red "ON-DIST" key, now pressing the right arrow key 3 times you get to the column of "m" (meters ) and you can choose with the up and down arrow keys, between a decimal place to 4 decimal places. Does this have an app for a Windows phone?

you might be able to get the D810 or the S910 to connect to a windows phone like a bluetooth keyboard. Then it would just "type" in the dimensions as you take them. Then you would use it in any app that you can use a keyboard for. As far as a dedicated app as far as I know there isn't one.
