Motley Crue: Carnival of Sins [DVD]

This DVD is awesome! I thought all band members appeared as if they tried to put 100% in this concert. I noticed no tension among them at all. They were all enthusiastic and the music rocked...making me wish I could have been there. Tommy Lee put 110% in this, playing drums like only he can and having a great time. Nikki had some great moments of dialogue with the audience and awesome playing, Mick can still rock despite his health issues, and Vince played the crowd well. I thought he let the audience sing a bit too much of his lines, we want to hear HIM, but I think he was just caught up in the energy from the audience and wanted to include them as much as possible. The Grand Rapids audience was really into the show. The cameras tended to focus on alot of the same ppl in the audience (anyone else notice how MUCH they showed the blonde girl reaching for Vince?) I didnt paticularly like the grainy scenes when they talked to the audience or had breaks, because you couldnt make it out as clear, but the over-all effect was okay I guess. The special effects were awesome too. So in a nutshell, it's worth the money especially if you are a big Crue fan. It's a good one to have as far as being one good final concert to show a history of the Crue (if this really is a farewell tour.) I'm glad I have it in my collection. They promised a new album if fans want it so I hope they get really good reviews. I think they have the potential to stay together if everyone can put personal issues aside and think of the fans. They genuinely appear to want to make it work. Good luck, Motley Crue I hope you will continue to rock together for many more years, and if by chance this is not possible, thanks for giving us an awesome final tour!!

I would suggest looking for the original dvd version because the blue ray one doesn’t have the 3 music videos or trailer to there little cartoon movie. Other than that, I absolutely love this live concert!!

This was recorded in Grand Rapids Michigan in 2005 in support of the 2005 Red, White and Crue Greatest Hits compilation. The Crue puts on a great show here, Vince sounds like he should, and he is in shape for a rock concert here. He doesn’t sing all the lyrics like he should but overall, at least he sounds good. This is worlds different from when I saw them in 14, at the exact same venue on their “final” tour. Carnival of Sins is a great concert, as someone from Grand Rapids and a fan of music I approve of the DVD. Wish this was the show I would have gotten 9 years later.

Not the best MC disc. Bad video quality, poor production. Look elsewhere.

Let me attempt to focus on writing this.... Best of all: the quality of the recording. Hats off to the team of professionals who created this DVD. The mix is EXCELLENT. I have no doubt the band did rehearse for this tour. The sound very professional also. It feels as if they are playing with a metronome. The songs' tempo is just right. The quality of their playing is outstanding. Vince's voice was great, great and clear that night. The simple, yet amazing stage, the girls, (read Michigan Mangos) the combination of pyros, color and the art of this carnival are just incredible things to enjoy here. THE BAND ROCKED. THE SHOW ROCKED. I hope it is one of the most profitable shows The Boys have enjoyed. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GO AND BUY IT!!!!!! IT ROCKS!

Based on what I have seen and heard this LOOKS and SOUNDS fantastic. Yeah, the camera shots are active and change fast... but much of the concert is packed with toughness and adrenaline, it actually makes some sense that the shots match it in being active as well. Sound-wise, this is the best the Crue have ever sounded live... this looks to me like a must own DVD. If you are looking for a DVD to give you an example of suspect quality... check out the new Twisted Sister one... now that one looks and sounds cheap and sloppy. This one looks like a gem... the only negative I see is its not out for another 2 months. Final thoughts, boy is it good having Tommy back... the drumming is excellent and it really adds so much to the songs. Vince is sounding better than he has in 20 years... and the guitar sound on this DVD is monsterously good... compare it to the Lewd Crued and Tatooed DVD of a few years back and you will really see how much better this version is!!! Its nice to see another band and not just KISS putting on a show that is actually worthy of the price of modern concert tickets.

Do not watch this trash they are trash band I quit listening to him all they can do is curse and act trashy if you all are Christian you will not watch this

I have been a die hard Motley Crue fan for 22 years,i have seen them over a dozen times in concert,Motley Crue has taken the torch for best heavy metal and stage shows,after every tour they think "how can we do better next time?"and they hit a bullseye with this tour,i was at this concert that was filmed at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapid, Michigan,I was in the 4th row,I am 41 and the Crue made me feel like a teenager again,I couldn't talk for a week after the show,I am not kidding either,I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO LOVES HEAVY METAL AND STAGE SHOWS WITH PYROGRAPHICS to buy this DVD. Tommy Lee does a heck of a drum solo,there fire breathing midgets,near naked female acrobats,Vince,Tommy,Nikki,and Micki really got it right this time,over 3 hours of Motley Crue tunes,enough pyrographics to light up a small town,the Crue driving thier Harley Davidson choppers on stage the bottom line is-----EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED! if you weren't a cruehead before this DVD,you will be after it. I have gone all over Michigan never to miss a Motley Crue concert,then when I got 4th row and seen this show was being filmed just 20 minutes from my home,I felt like I hit the lottery,I have seen clips of the DVD and I saw myself several times(pretty cool)I also saw them previously in Detroit,then later in Detroit, seeing Motley Crue 3 times in 6 months is a dream,now I have that dream on DVD,they also played songs they usually don't like Glitter,Without You.go buy it hook it up and crank it up,you will love it

オリジナルのメンバーを知ってるヒトも、知らないヒトも、 ちょっとでも興味があれば絶対、観てください。 曲目リストをご覧いただくとわかりますが、オールドナンバーが ビッシリ詰まっており、ディスコグラフィーのように、世代ごとに 演奏してくれてます。それだけで涙、出そうです。 '05.11.23 大阪城ホール観てきましたが、まさにこのDVDどおりでした。 行ったヒトも、行ってないヒトも、絶対観てください！ ステージの都合？でほんの少し、違うところもありましたが、 ほぼ再現されてました。曲は「Too Young to Fall in Love」と アンコールの「Helter Skelter」がなかったような・・・。 モトリー歴、20年やっており、Girls Girls Girlsツアー、 Dr. Feelgoodツアーともに大阪城ホール観てきましたが このCarnival of Sins、最高のライブです。 たぶん、これ以上はもう無理だと思います。 メディアがリージョン1 なので、ちょっと注意。 私は、パソコン用の外付けドライブをこのDVDのために 変更しました。 まぁ、これで、このamazonからリージョン1 のDVDを抵抗無く買えるようになりました。 2枚組で、2枚目はインタビューばかりですが、当然字幕はない ので、それもちょっと注意です。

Mötley Crüe eine der spektakulärsten Glam-Metal Bands der letzten 3 Jahrzehnte gibt sich hier 2005 in einem US Konzert die Ehre. Diese Show ist ebenso spektakulär: - Clowns, Pyrotechnik, Stripperinnen, Motorräder (Girls, Girls, Girls) und Gimmicks mit Liliputanern werden hier gekonnt miteinbezogen. Was visuell ihre Musikstil unterstreicht. Auch das Publikum gibt alles. Reihenweise hübsche Girls werden in vielen Kameraeinstellungen gezeigt. Manchmal scheinen mir die Kameramänner zu viel ins Pubikum zu zoomen. Aber die Bühnnenshow kommt nicht zu kurz. Dem Anfang der Setlist machen dann auch die alten Kracher wie Ten Seconds to Love, Live Wire,Too Fast for Love, Shout at the Devil, Red Hot, On with the Show... usw. Nikki Sixx (Bassist) und Tommy Lee (Drummer) bringen etwa in der Mitte der Show ihre phenomenalen Solos, wobei Nikki sich wie immer versucht in Brand zu setzen und Tommy zwischen 2 Drummsets an der Decke der Halle an einem Gurt hin und her schwingt. Einzig der von seiner Knochenkrankheit gekennzeichnete Gitarist Mick Mars geht die Sache zwangsweise etwas ruhiger an, jedoch haben seine Solis nichtŽs an ihrem "Biss" verloren. Sänger Vince Neil, von 3 heissen Tänzerinen umgeben, shoutet wie schon lange nicht mehr ins Publikum, wobei einige Girls ihn am liebsten von der Bühne runter ziehen würden. Nach den Solos gehtŽs weiter mit den Krachern Wild Side, Looks that Kill, Dr. Feelgood, Kickstart my Heart und Primal Scream. Den Abschluss bilden solche Party Songs wie DonŽt go away mad.., Same ol Situation, und am Schluss versammeln sich alle vier brav am bunten Piano von Tommy und bringen Home Sweet Home. Tolles Konzert und super Show - welche hier in Europa so nicht zu sehen war. Auf einer zweiten DVD ist noch ne Menge an Bonusmaterial zu bestaunen so noch 3 Videoclips zu on with the Show, If I die Tomorrow, und Afraid. Weiterhin findet man auch noch ein Interview Segment mit der Band und Mitgliedern der Roadcrew sowie ein cool gemachter Animationsfilm und ein Meet and Greet mit eingigen Fans auf der 2. DVD. Wie gesagt alles in allem eine Show wie ich sie bisher noch nicht gesehn habe.

I had seen various clips of this concert on U Tube. I noticed Amazon had it. Is a fab concert & some great interviews on Disc 2 of the band and crew (no pun). Of you are a fan then buy this. I also find is an excellent DVD to listen to while exercising!!!
