Let's Celebrate Being Indian-American

I love reading this book to my kids! It is a great way to learn about the Indian-American culture and the illustrations are phenomenal. It’s so important to teach our children about difference religions, cultures and ethnicities. This is a fun way to do it!

This is such a wonderful book, beautifully written and illustrated. I have been looking for books to help teach my girls about different cultures and traditions, and this is such a lovely way to do just that. My girls love the beautiful illustrations and I’ve enjoyed learning more as well! This book is a great way to celebrate diversity, in a time where we all could use more celebration. I would recommend this lovely book to all ages!

I love how informative this book is! While some of the Indian holidays were familiar to me, a lot of them were not, so I got to learn along with my 3-year-old. The glossary in the front of the book is great as well since I realized I had been pronouncing some of the holidays incorrectly. Lastly, I liked how American holidays were incorporated as well, so my son could recognize some of the things that we celebrate as a family. All in all, a great book to incorporate multiculturalism into your home library!

My son loved the illustrations and learning about the different celebrations. As an Amerasian parent, it is refreshing to read a book to my son that shows our family is not the only family that celebrates American holidays and our cultural holidays. This book is a must for your child's library. It is a great way to get your children excited to learn about other cultures. BUY THIS BOOK!

The world can be such a torn place, but it doesn’t have to be. There are so many communal aspects to humanity-food, celebrations, and family. These things cross cultures. Sharan’s book points this out in a colorful, fun way that bridges the concepts to any age kid :-)

My daughter and I loved reading this book together! We enjoyed all the beautiful pictures and the information about the holidays and celebrations. We’re so glad we got this book and can’t wait to share what we’ve learned with our neighborhood friends!

This book is so well written. My daughter and I loved reading about all the traditions celebrated in the American-Indian culture. All of the illustrations are so beautifully done. We loved this book and it made us want to participate in all the celebrations and try the Indian sweets!

I'm really excited about this children's book because it highlights the best parts about growing up in a multicultural household and country! It delves into different Indian holidays that Americans may not be familiar with but also shows the fact that multicultural families celebrate American holidays as well. I myself definitely learned more about the Indian culture reading the book and am excited to share the book with our future little ones! ❤️
