The photo makes it seems as if the openings on each end are equal size, but one is slightly smaller than the other. The measurements are given for accuracy and to save you aggravation and waste, so be sure to use them and measure your devices before ordering. I ordered it at the same time as my diffuser... I bought this because I wanted to use the black orchid diffuser with my ancient Conair Ion Shine 1875, and I was worried it wouldn't fit. Turns out the opening to my dryer is so large the black orchid diffuser fits INTO the hair dryer opening -- all I have to do is press very firmly and it fits into place without popping out. I will use the snozzlepro for other dryer attachments now... I thought about returning the snozzlepro, but then thought I should try popping it onto the end of my Revlon One Step, which I occasionally try to use on the cool setting. If you have a Revlon One Step, you know there are at least four major problems with it. One of them is that some of your hair gets caught in the rim underneath the upper cap/handhold as you turn it, and you either rip the hairs out of your head without realizing, or you have to stop and try to pry the hairs out. I thought the wide end of the snozzlepro might stretch to fit over that rim, to protect my hair from getting caught in it. (Turns out it's a little too small for that and keeps popping off, but the snozzlepro manufacturer was very sweet and tried to help me make it work, even though it is not intended for that purpose.) [In case you're curious about the other problems with the Revlon One Step -- the heat is too high, the bristles grab your hair to the point of causing breakage, and the sound is so loud you should use earplugs. I'm going to stop using it.]

I did tonnes of research before buying one of these and had such high hopes, but have been pretty disappointed to be honest. I have a black orchid diffuser and both a Dyson air wrap and Lable M professional hair dryer, which I wanted to use this tool to attach the diffuser to. It does hold the bits attached, to an extent. I usually have to reattach all the bits about 3-4 times each time I dry my hair, which takes me 15-20mins, which I find frustrating. It also gets very hot, which makes reassembling a pain. But it gives me flexibility over resorting to gaffer tape…

I have a parlux dryer and the nozzle kept falling off and I was using tape to keep it on, which is terrible. This is great, it still allows me to take off the concentrator easily so I can switch to my diffuser with ease. I have no problem with it sliding off, it's quite sturdy, handles blowouts, not bulky at all, great for stylists!!

I got this to help me attach my Black Orchid Diffuser to my Babyliss Portofino Dryer. It works great, but it will eventually fall off if I have to dry for a long time - it gets loose with the heat. It doesn’t fall off every time, but I make sure it is secure before drying. It takes forever to dry my hair, so I need to check it occasionally to make sure it is still secure. The diffuser does not stay put at all without this attachment, so definitely need it! UPDATE: I received a message from Val, the inventor of SnozzlePro - she gave me a tip that helped a lot. I had the nozzle upside down. When I turned it around the way she said to put it, it fit better and did not come off! Changed to 5 stars! Thanks Val!

It works great. Now I can use my favourite diffuser on most hairdryers.
