my husband said this is just as good as the £150 reels he has purchased in the past. He could not believe he could get such quality for such a low price. My husband is an expert fisherman and fishes here and abroad and he is very fuzzy with high expectations so if it meets his standard it will meet anyone'sArrived on time and in a reel nice box and case

Good economy reel
The appearance and workmanship of reel is really nice. I especially like the oversized reel handles. Handles fish good and drag worked good as well. Only thing I can complain about it is a little noisy when casting. But for the price I can live that. Overall it is a great reel for the price.

Best buy
Have 4 active 1 inactive. Used these reels for 2 years now of Walleye Lake and Rainbow trout trolling/Jigging. They are ultra smooth and have had only one issue on one reel I retired. I had caught a 7lb walleye and while battling the toothy tasty treat the line got caught up in the reel and seized it up. I cut it off but I think there’s a 1/2 inch piece still in there making it gum up? I’ll try to take it apart and fix it but that’s why I had an extra. For the 50$ it’s a fair price.

Great value !
I bought the Rover 50R and so far it is a sweet little reel . I doubt you will find a better quality reel for $ 53.99. It is very light weight and very comfortable to use. The spool brake knob is a great feature . It helps beginners from getting the old " birds nest " when casting. I used a Penn Long Beach reel when surfcasting . For many years it was my favorite reel but somehow I lost 2 of them when I moved a few years ago and Penn does not make them any more. I found a couple on Ebay but they were way way overpriced. Enter the Kastking . It is almost as good as the Penn. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of that stupid level wind feature. Penn does the same thing now. I don't get it . It takes away from casting distance. So when you need to cast over the breakers on the beach , you have a problem. If you can't reel your line in and keep it even on the spool , maybe you should try golf . They should make 2 models of the Rover 50 . One with the level wind and one without it. That is my only complaint so far. Outside of that it is a very well built reel that should give many years of service providing you take care of your stuff. Always always rinse it off after using it and let it dry thoroughly . Keep it lubed and you should be good to go. I am beginning to think that this may be a better boat reel than casting reel. We will see. I am going to keep at it.
