Better Than The Rest
I bought another smaller one from another seller on amazon, and it is falling apart, shredding, This brand is still standing 3 years in! AMAZING!!! I am so grateful I wanted to come here and say it... I don't appreciate the other brands that cut corners and don't get held accountable for contributing to microplastics all over my property! This brand is still going strong... the other was falling apart in less than 2! To be honest I think reviews that are 2 weeks in, are not reliable...

Does not provide a lot of shade, but does provide some
Probably appropriate for the money but does not really provide a lot of shade. Not sure if 40% is accurate, in the pictures you can see the ground under the tarp is still fairly sunny. Made OK, Grommets and stitching are actually quite good (far better than typical plastic tarps) but the shade material is extremely thin. Reminds us of hay netting. Using it to shade livestock, attached to barn like an awning. Don't really know durability/sturdiness yet. As long as it lasts all summer it will have served it's purpose. will be getting something more shady next year. Will try to remember to update review if it lasts all summer.UPDATE! I don't think I was fair in initial review. this thing lasted all summer through major wind storms and believe it or not the hardest thing was our cats who crept out on top of it and used it like a hammock. Hubby did one small repair where it did year a bit in late summer. After that there were no further tears and it is still up in October. Turned out to be very good investment for the price, upgrading to 5 stars, even tho it's not quite as shady as I would like, the design actually helps keep things cooler wind can go right through it while providing some shade.

Good strong shade cloth
I’m using this shade cloth over our BBQ and outdoor eating area. The grommets are strong enough to hold the shade cloth in high winds.

honest unpaid review
I ordered this a few months ago and weather here has been such that we didn't need it. First 100 plus degree today so installed this last night about 8pm. Had .2 of an inch of rain last night and light winds from north west. My garden is right up next to my house on the south side with a covered porch on east side. Fairly well protected from this kind of wind. Went out to check today and at least 1/2 of the rivets were pulled loose and was flopping in the wind. I am a licensed contractor with 50 years experience. I built a frame out of 3/4 emt tubing with a frame around the outside, one middle support dividing the 20 ft and 2 middle supports dividing the 10 feet way. I tied it down all the way around and in the middle. Didn't work. I have to believe people wrote reviews of this stuff early or were paid. If you can figure out a way to anchor it like maybe sandwiching between 2x2's it might work. I did a lot of rope support over the top of it and then zip tied those to the pipes so might get me through this summer. Is cheap enough to consider this a seasonal expense and that is the way I am looking at it. It is quite comfortable under it if you can secure it and still lets a fair amount of light through. Now granted we will have days and weeks of blistering sun and I am not using this to grow lettuce or spinach (wouldn't work here), but rather to give my tomatoes, peppers and egg plant a little reprieve from the sweltering heat. Great concept poor execution and if someone would have mentioned some of this stuff I would have done what I did first. I still have no confidence it will make it 2 months, as it might be gone by the weekend but is worth a try. Is very lightweight, almost too light weight. Lesson learned and will probably try a different product from a different vendor and would suggest you do that as well

not a very tough product but for what it is intended good
I used this for a purpose that it was not intended for and it is a little bit light weight for that but would be good for a shade.

Vegetable garden plants are saved!!
UPDATE: Bought this in February, used it on my vegetable garden in March/April time frame. I draped it over PVC pipe that is used as a frame over the garden box. It is now October and one part of the shade cloth is quickly deteriorating. I 'sewed' the corner together with a thicker cotton string to help slow down the tearing of the cloth to get through to Winter. I have noticed another area in the cloth that is starting to deteriorate. While the cloth did wonders for the vegetables for this Spring and Summer, this is an expensive annual replacement for my vegetables. I don't see how this cloth could be used for shade over a patio since it only lasted 6 months. The finished edges and grommets worked fine, it is the material that doesn't last. Hopefully the seller sees this revised comment/rating and reaches out to me.I bought this to help keep my south facing vegetable garden from being an oven. My vegetables and fruits are breathing a sigh of relief with this cover. Have used it to drape over my vegetable garden (used PVC pipe to create a frame. Previous two years, the plants struggled with the heat but this year, even when the temps have been in the 90s and 100s, have been doing great!! It is all because of this cover, makes a world of difference. The cover is durable with finished edges and grommets - highly recommend. Has held up great in the wind.

Don’t Buy This One
We are using this for our greenhouse which is 10’ x32’. This product claims to be 10’ x20’. It is at best 10’x 16’ which is a critical master when attempting to cool down a greenhouse. It was also described as a premium product at a premium price. It is extremely lightweight and as to 49’ blockage I would have to disagree. There is no difference in the heat or sun level of the greenhouse that is uncovered to the section that is covered. Why does everyone lie about their product these days. Unfortunately we didn’t get the greenhouse fully finished before the return date ran out so I couldn’t return it. I feel cheated especially since there were others the same for at least $20.00 less. Don’t buy from people who lie.
