Bonsai Potting Kit, 6.25" Bonsai Pot Included 6''inches Tall Bomsai Tree

Bought this as a gift for my son-in-law; it arrived 3 days early and the plant was healthier than I expected. I only have 2 concerns: 1) the description didn't make it clear that this bonsai is untrained, and as it's marketed as a user-friendly beginner's kit, I did not expect he would need the knowledge/skill/8 months to train the bonsai. It also came without wire, which should have been included if requiring training. 2)The planting medium worries me, as it looks like 100% fine grain, peaty soulless medium; it should also contain pumice or granite grit to improve drainage/aeration. I'm afraid the medium will compact and impair water uptake/drainage/both. They've already planted it, so we'll see how it does once it's settled into the training pot. I can give him some guidance, and as long as the tree lives, I'll be pleased. If not, I'll update the review.

Okay The pot is not ceramic as one Reviewer stated It's plastic And when the Bonsai 'tree' arrived It was more like a tiny branch or twig The Seller immediately replaced it and I'm very happy with the replacement tree Its full and its healthyFor the price this is a nice gift for yourself or someone else I had a good time planting and I'm sure will have fun watching it grow

I've been wanting a bonsai tree for quite some time but was kind of leery of purchasing one after reading negative reviews from other individual sellers. I was doing a search on them one day & ran across this one. I have to say, I'm very pleased with making this purchase. It comes with everything you need: soil, potting mix, rocks, pot, screens, instructions & tree. YES, the tree arrived alive! The instructions are very easy to follow & there's very little maintenance other than watering twice a week as stated in the instructions. Makes a great addition to any room in the house or can be planted outside. I'm seriously thinking about getting another one.

tree is really really small does not look anything like picture once i put it all together i did give it a 5 star i was so excited to get started making my bonsai tree came healthy and b 4 it said it would arive but when i put together went back and looked 4 this item and that tree they showed was way bigger i only had 1 lil branch update company was very nice and helpful buying to plants today from jm bamboo so plesed with these trees

I was amazed when I got the tiny box, there was an actual live tree in it! It was fairly easy to assemble and my little bonsai did good for a month but unfortunately died after that. I am still giving a five star because of how great the kit was as well as the health of the tree when it arrived. I hope next time around my bonsai can make it longer than a month!

Perfect kit if you want to try growing a Bonsai plant. Arrived very quickly. Plant looks very healthy. I'm leaving it in the pot it came in for awhile before trying to trim it and put it in the pot. It comes with the soil and rocks, pot, screens and plant. Can't wait to try trimming it and shaping it.
