I’m glad I took a chance on these. I read the reviews and there were quite a few people saying the protectors just fell off if you barely touched them. I am really not seeing that. Are they bolted on? No! They clip on and stay unless I rip or yank them off. Not sure what the fuss was all about. I’m glad I tried them out. They look great. They are also thinner than most so they fit in the Apple “bra” well. The Apple “bra” is also something I like too. Comes in handy in the house and elsewhere to tote the headphones around. If I’m traveling I simply take them out of the bra and use my hard case. Anyway, love the ear protectors for my Apple AirPod Max’s.UPDATE: It is 01/09/2025 and these ear protectors finally developed a hairline crack near the top on the RIGHT protector just slightly enough where I need to be careful taking them out of the "bra" and putting them in. They still hold in place pretty good with no issue while I have the headphones on. I haven't decided to purchase new ones (only $18) or just put a little super glue on to fix the hairline crack. I still like the looks of them and have had NO ISSUES WITH THEM COMING OFF! I just don't understand the negative comments from reviewers concerning them coming off! Anyway, I still think this is a quality product.

The reason I bought them? Saw them on YouTube.They’re really streamlined, and a really great fit!I have a pair of earbuds and they have the very same cloth like texture as well as a case to put the AirPod Max’s in. It’s winter and it’s cold and as much as I love I can’t stand touching that cold metal!!!Anyway they’re perfect and they add very nice look to them!

Great quality and very easy to install. Very light and doesn’t add bulk in any way to my Airpods Max. I love that it effectively protects the earcups in a light, non-bulky way. Definitely value for the money.

Although these look great there are some major issues that I'm struggling with in the first few hours of use1) the covers come off very easy. When reaching for the sides of the headphones, you grab the case and the case slides right off the headphones. So annoying. Only way to prevent this is to add an adhesive which I'm not going to so to a $550 headphones2) the case does not cover enough of the bottom to prevent the most damage to this unit ( the spot where the two heads will make contact and rub when carrying in theor stow away position ).I will be returning theseASAP

I was worried that when I fold my AirPods Max to put away in their case or when travel they would in time get all scratched up where the two ear caps touch. I wanted to get something to protect them but I was reluctant to hide the aesthetics. These black Spigen ear cup covers go really well with my space gray headphones and actually up level the design making it look as premium as if Apple intended them design them. My only concern is in time they'll probably loosen up and get frayed, but at least it's saving the headphones in the meantime.

I'm not sure if changes were made to newer production, but my set purchased on 9/25/23 snap on and hold in place perfectly. I don't think there's an alternative for this price that look as good as these do.Things I really like compared to cheaper clear/silicone shells:-Do not interfere at all with the dial or ANC button-Cover just enough of the headphone to provide complete scratch resistance without worrying about any microphones or the lightning port being obstructed
