Must read
I give this 5/5 ⭐️this was my first Freida book and it did not disappoint. Every chapter left off or started off on a suspenseful note. The ending was a twist I did not expect. Loved it.

Want to know a secret Review
I personally love Freida’s books. They are an enjoyable read that I don’t have feel like I need a pen and notepad to keep track of what’s going on to understand the storyline. It’s the perfect amount of thriller and love story for me.

great twist!
I’ve read several of this author’s books. This one has a great twist! I thought it was highly entertaining and am glad I found it!

This Author is Normally Amazing but This One's Rather a Dud
I've read nearly all of Freida McFadden's books. I think I only have 2 more to go. All but a couple of them were outstanding, as in, pretty near perfect. But hey, no one is perfect all the time! She did have a couple of duds, and this is one of them. While reading, I actually stopped and looked again at the cover, to make sure I hadn't picked up an SE Lynes book thinking it was McFadden. (SE Lynes' 'Valentina' and 'The Housewarming' were masterpieces, but the next 2 books I read by her were junior-high-level 'mean girl' drivel.) Honestly, for a minute there I actually thought that 'Want to Know a Secret' must have gotten the wrong author's name on it!What I love about MOST of Freida McFadden's books is that the characters are usually very sharp, the plots twisty but believable, and the surprises intelligently crafted and FIT; they didn't just totally negate the entire book with some implausible twist at the end.Not so with this one. Do all wealthy moms really act like that? What a stereotype! They were all just a bunch of superficial, jealous, catty, gossipy 13-year-olds!Also, if an author lets the reader inside the mind of a character, it's quite a jolt to suddenly find out that the character was hiding the truth from the reader. That is a very cheap, unfeasible way to write a twist into the story. Either let us know what the character is thinking or don't, but don't resort to such cheap tricks!None of McFadden's other books were like that. I just realized, hey, maybe this was her very first book and I should cut her some slack, but Nooooo, the book was written in 2021.It really does feel like she was just too busy to meet her publisher's deadline and got a ghostwriter to write the first 2/3 of the book for her.Speaking of which, did I mention how tedious and BORING the first 2/3 of the book was? I almost didn't finish it, which would be a first for me and this author. The only reason I hung in there was that I knew Freida's trademark twist was coming, and it did. It wasn't enough to redeem the book, though there was some poetic justice.Unless you like junior-high, rich kid gossip, skip this one. But DO read Freida's other books! The Housemaid, Never Lie, The Perfect Son, The Surrogate Mother, The Locked Door...masterpieces all! And her others are all great too,Freida, sorry to be so scathing, but I have bought nearly all of your books and it is you who have set such a high standard for yourself. This one was just, well, a dud compared to your others.EDIT: I raised my review from 2 stars to 3, because the thought just occurred to me that maybe Freida made her characters shallow intentionally, to convey her point. I just finished Suicide Med whose main characters are college students, and their personalities really do seem like college students. So maybe Freida went a little overboard making these characters shallow, gossipy rich women. So ok, 3 stars then. Still Not a very enjoyable book, compared to her others.

Good, but not her best.
While Want to Know a Secret was a good read, in true McFadden style, it was not the usual page turner. It reads at a bit more leisurely pace. Yes, of course it has the requisite twists and turns, but the anxiety is missing.

This book......for real
This book was so damn crazy I don't have words. Wow. I am not sure how I feel about any of it! I was pissed at the main chick for doing stupid things but in the end it didn't matter. This author makes sure the one that deserves it, gets it in the end. This was so emotional and crazy I'm so glad I read it.

Another great mystery from Freida McFadden!
Another fast paced mystery from Freida McFadden. This book has a nice big twist that you're not expecting right in the middle. I love her books because they always keep me guessing and the short chapters keep the story flowing. April is the seemingly sweet neighborhood baker who has a Youtube channel and is sweet to everyone. When she starts getting texts from an unknown number threatening to unleash some secrets about her life she starts to panic and becomes unraveled. Her marriage is on shaky ground, her young seems to be getting in trouble more and more. What is happening to her perfectly curated life? This is one to definitely add to your TBR list.

Don’t hesitate just get it.
I cannot say enough about this book or any Freida McFadden books. Just incredible. Twists and turns, lovable and hateable characters that just grow on you. Thrillers with a twist of humour. And the ending is always surprising no matter how much I think I figured it out. So well written. Impossible to put down once you start. Don’t hesitate, just get it.

Great read
Freida McFadden has become one of my favorite authors, and this is definitely one of my favorite books of her. I found it really engaging, couldn't put it down, and when the plot twist came, I really Wasn't expecting it. I did find April annoyingly naive/oblivious sometimes, but still found myself getting angry on her behalf for most of the book. Really recommend it!

Such an underrated book 5⭐️
This book is so underrated! 5⭐️read! Absolutely loved that there where so many people in the story that could possibly responsible for all the things going on and just when you think you have it worked out it shocks you. Fantastic twists and turns with each chapter giving you more and more each time. Really enjoyed this book and one I can highly recommend of freidas.

One more…
Like all the books from Freida this one didn’t disappoint me, when I thought I knew everything here comes the plot twist and everything changes! But the worst is the ending😈

Not what I expected (not in a good way)
⭐ 3/5I have a bittersweet taste after finishing this book, I liked it (because it is very rare that I don't like a book written by Freida McFadden) but it didn't convince me.I didn't really like where the story is set, all that neighbourhood stuff, gossip and rich people's dramas is not my cup of tea. This was also one of the few books in which I saw all the plot twists coming, unlike other times I was left with my mouth open.In short, it was an entertaining read, but nothing out of this world.
