Used it out of the box and it was OK, but rattled a bit around on the beam. I added a couple of nuts to put additional tension on the inner part of the brackets, substituted a lock nut instead of the split ring washer/double nutted (or jam nutted) and pounded some shims in the space between the bracket and the beam. It is as solid as the mounts in the training gyms and is quiet. For the price, this is about the best value I could find and with a few shims and hardware, a very high performer for heavy use. Highly recommended and follow the photo if you have a similar situation for great results.

Using this to hang a 100lb heavy bag and it has taken several good workouts so far. I am happy with the product but there are a few things I would have changed. A length of grade 5 all-thread and some flat washers would have been handy but I had these things anyway so it wasn't really an issue. I would also add some rubber footing tape as a good hook or round-house will allow the bag to slide a good bit along the beam.So far this is a great purchase. Very pleased.

Currently using this in our basement to hang the kiddy swings and a punching bag. It’s great! Strong enough for even an adult to sit and use the swing!
